Here's a quote of someone who had a solution to your problem:

"The Samsung star GT S5233A does not support apps that are directly put into its memory... Find the suitable applications on the internet.. your .jar files.. Upload these to any free wap uploader such as davidpye.com/wap and download them files from that site through GPRS.. there is no other way you can put softwares in it... I've tried the wap uploader method and it works...!!"

I am getting error while i am try to install .jar file in my LG GD 510 while downloading jar file it opens downloader while gets error that network lost

Hi,the jar file might be corrupted or your mobile will be protecting from something (virus etc) that jar file carries to protect your mobile, so the net breaks. Try installing any other jar file and see if the problem still persists.
hope this helps, thanks!

Error on installing java games? i try to install a same game with the same phone, but my phone always saying that the download jar are invalid, while the oder phone installed the game correctly? please...

Hi,

before install games to your phone, make sure the java games (click to go free java games list) is compatible with your mobile phones, know your phone first especially entertainment capability features, including operation system or platform (like symbian, windows mobile, java mobile, flash etc), display screen resolution (like 128x160, 176x208, 176x220, 240x320, 320x240, 352x416 etc), 3D java support etc. (get free java games here) . If you get any sort of error, it's possible the games isn't compatible/or is not designed for your model. You will need to obtain a specific version for your model.

first of all Make sure the game is in a jar format (*.jar file) not a zipped file (*.zip or *.rar), most of games here are .jar format. If it has the zip or rar extension open the file in Winrar/winzip (download winrar) and look at its contents, if it has lots of files like a.class and image files then rename the *.rar (or *.zip) file as *.jar and transfer that to your phone. If in the zipped file it has a jar file and other files, extract just the jar file and transfer it to your phone. some phone models also need .jad format file to install the game, check out this post: Create .Jad file for .jar format Java games and apps, download any of .jad generator tools, create your .jad file and transfer .jar and .jad file to your phone.

When transferring the java games to your phone via usb cable, bluetooth, infrared, memory card (how to transfer photos, ring tones, games to your phone), the games and applications folder may not appear, this is normal. All you have to do is copy the file to the root directory (the main folder) and the phone will put the files into the correct places itself. There is no need to put the game in the others folder as it will just be a waste of time and the game will not work.

open/run the jar file to install the games, then enjoy it.

While downloading Jar file (games) to my GT C 3222,gives an error of "invalid jar".Need to know the reason for this error.

Hi, it may happen when the jar file is corrupted while downloading the game or the jar file of the game is unsupported for your cellphone. Many Cellphones supports game only when you download Games directly from Internet through your Cellphone (not by copying any game to the Memory Card)

Please download the Games from the below mentioned link:

http://wap.in

Please enter the exact Web address without adding www in the cellphone (not in the computer) to access the WAP site and download Games! Enjoy!

I want to install some programs on my Samsung S8000 Jet mobile phone, like adobe reader, calculator, etc. but when I download them they're .jar and I am unable to install any .jad or .jar application...

Note: Toinstall a program to your Samsung s8000 jet, you should have both .Jar and .Jadfile. Tomake .JAD file from .JAR, you need a JAD Maker.exe file (Google it from net)then run it. Tomake the .Jad file, drag the .Jar to the JADMAker Screen. You have .Jar in thesame folder as .Jar file. TIP: to installsoftware on SAMSUNG JET S8000 follow these steps: 1) Google for TkFileExplorer v2.2 and install iton your computer. 2) Close Samsung new PC Studio (yes close it! ydon't it for this) 3) Connect jet to PC and choose PC STUDIO usb mode 4) Run TkFileExplorer 5) Choose right com port from "Setting" and then clickconnect from "File" (NOTE: you must NOT be connected in pcstudio. Now click on FILE and CONNECT) 6) On the bottom half ofTKFileExplorer, browse through these folders "User/Mass/Java/Games" 7) Create a new folder for your new software, Name it afterwhat you are going to install (for example, Google Maps, Gmail, Opera Minietc). 8) On the top half of TKFileExplorer, browse through to where you saved the application files (.jar/.jad) and selectthem both. Now right click and choose "Download". 9) Close TKFileExplorerand open keypad on your jet 10) Openup your dial pad and enter the following, *#5239870*#. Choose INTERNALS andenter the following, *#7092463*# 11) Nowscroll down and choose Storage Settings. 12) Thenupdate Java DB, followed by update apps database. Now you are finished. Go to Menu> Applications > Apps & Games. The new program must be listed there. Have Fun!!!

I used SAMSUNG SGH-J150 mobile. When I download application or games, which size above 300 kb I get one error. Error is JAR FILE IS OVER MAX SIZE

Download the jar file through your pc. Create a jad file. (Download jad maker software here.) Open the jad file using notepad and change the MIDlet-Jar-Size to some value in bytes less than 300kB (e.g. 12345). Copy the two files (.jar and .jad files) to your phone and open the .jad file. Install when prompted.

It appears invalid jar file during download

a jar file is a compress application file that your phone is showing as an invalid file.
Try downloading it to you computer and putting it on from there.
also check your phone and open the file on your phone if you see it in the memory.
it may just be throwing an error and the file is there.
