Drier turns but no heat (electric drier)

Sorry to read about your problem. Their is a 80% chance you have a defective heat coil or coils. or the heat selector switch is defective. in addition you may have a clogged dryer vent.

I suggest you place a call to a service company.

I tried to help you. Please help me and vote/rate this response thanks.

My 1991 subaru legacy blows cool air when I apply brakes Thanks Sandy

if your losing your heat when your car comes to a stop Sandy, you need to check the coolant level in the radiator when the engine is cold, fill it to the top and fill the reserve bottle too.

Amana electric dryer will heat but only when.../ LEA60AW

Hi there,

It seems there is some wire loose, check on the both side of heating element points.
The heating element is simply a long coil of special wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter.

Good Luck!!

My drier is a Maytag, it is not heating up the way it should be.

There is a chamber that the air blows down before hitting the vent pipe. It may need to be cleaned. But you want to make sure when you push your dryer back, that the vent doesn't kink. good luck. Overall you drier works, your just having a venting issue.
