Alarm Modules are one of the Common problem in these Models.You could try: Find the Red / Black wire at the Hood Switch, located above the Fan & connect one end of a piece of wire to the Red / Black wire. Connect the other end of the piece of wire to Ground (chassis) This should Dis Arm the Alarm until the wire is removed.
This will only work "if" the Alarm Module is Not Defective.
dqauto, I have this exact same problem. It's been happening for the past couple months. The only thing I can think of is that the software is no longer supported because its so old. I dont want to get rid of the phone but not be able to recieve texts is a big issue. Please let me know if you find any answers, im sure there are others with the same problem.
I had the same problem, and it will only get worse. It's a simple fix though...just follow these steps. I actually found this solution on this exact website =] so if you can't fully understand how I explain it, ou can find other posts as well.
Settings >> Text Input Settings >> Uncheck box next to "Suggest Words When Typing."
Simple enough, restart the phone and start texting, It should be fine. Hope this helps!!
