Does water come out of the wand when you press the hot water button (top left)? Try ventilating and descaling the machine. More details about each can be easily found by googling.
When it says to ventilate, it is asking you to prime the pump. Put a
cup under the panarello wand ( the steamer/frother) to catch the
discharged water and press the hot water button (upper left button on
my machine). Wait until air stops coming out with the water, usually
3-5 ounces, and then press the hot water button again.
You machine is now ventilated (primed) and should be ready to go.
Press the hot water button on the left and leave it on for a couple of seconds - up to 30 seconds. It is because air has entered the system when changing water...worked for me.
Alternatively, try draining the machine. Page 37 of the user manual, Drainage. Place cup under the steam/hot water tube, turn knob clockwise around to 9. If the pump is ok, it will start automatically and start filling the cup. Drain about 1/2 cup of hot water and return knob counterclockwise to start position. If the flow meter is not damaged, the Ventilate message should be gone.
