Actually if all you want is the dvd, there is a plastic cover on the underside of the dvd player below the dvd tray. Open it from the tab like a door and inside the slot you'll see a little black lever that you have to move with a small screwdriver or something like that....then slide the lever over towards the power button. If you don't feel comfortable doing this next step please bring it to some one that is familiar withit or a repair shop !!!!!!!!PLEASE UNPLUG BEFORE MOVING ON!!!!!!!!! Now if ya wanna fix the "LOCKED" error and unplugging it doesn't help, you have to take the top case of the dvd player (six screws and slide it back.....the case might get caught on the plug on the back so slightly lift it above it. Then once you have the cover off, with the front of the dvd player facing you...unplug the connector that is on the left hand side of the dvd tray that connects to the circuit board with firm and straight up pressure.....pull (it is ok to pull from the wires, just grab in the middle). Now you might have to plug in the power for the dvd player with that connector unplugged but do so with caution!!!!!......if ya want just put the cover back on without the screws on and just press power a couple of times.....then remove the power cord from the wall, take your case off, reattach the'll here it kinda snap back in, make sure you put the connect back on the same way, it really only goes in one way, the prongs are more to one side. then slide your cover back on making sure you lift the back of the cover over the power cord on the back and the put your screws back in and your done.......this should solve both your problems. I think my kid was messing around with mine too!!

Sony dvd player error t99

Hi Nemegraff,
I have a Sony DVP- NC665P dvd player. I burned a dvd movie and noticed I could not play it on my player. I was getting a display code "T99". I believe the "T" stands for time on the dvd.
Anyway, to my surprise, I found out if I press the "top menu" button on my remote, the dvd will start from the movie's main menu screen....then just hit enter or play and the movie will play. My problem is solved. I hope this helps you.

I have SONY DVD player DVP NS575P and SONY 5.1 channel how can i connect the DVD player to Sony 5.1 channel speakers

check behind your sony Dvd player for the RCA inputs and fix in the provided RCA cables, match the red jack pin to the red port, white to white and the other end which has one jack pin connect it to your woofer 5.1 speakers. check carefully where to connect as its clearly indicated IN. Remember the remaining yellow cable should be for video signal and the same connected to the monitor for video display.

I need to identify and replace the fuse in Sony DVP-NS75P

I think you are asking fuse in Sony DVP-NS575P DVD Player.
Its just next to AC wire connector and not ordinary glass tube type.
Locate it in below image of PCB of power supply board..
