I've had this problem with my daughter's shoes, and her foot is very narrow. I cut down some generic-brand Dr. Scholl's-type insoles (available at grocery and drugstores) and that did the trick.
1. Get the appropriate sized insoles, and lay the right show on the right insole, and the left shoe on the left insole. Trace them with a pen.
2. Cut out the insole, cutting slightly inside the lines-- the inside of the shoe is smaller than the outside.
3. Work the insoles inside the shoe. Use your fingers to feel around the edges to see where you need to trim them to fit.
4. If it's too long, don't trim all the length off the toe, or all the length off the heel... you'll mess up where the arch curves.
Good luck! I hope it works for you.

I wouldn't machine wash them. It is preferable to wash them by hand.

How do you clean the Ecco Glide shoes?

Ecco Glides are good shoes, made of leather, not cheap plastic imitation leather. In the household aisle of the grocery store or a big-box (Wal-Mart or Target) store, find a tin of saddle soap. It's specifically designed for cleaning leather.
Follow the directions on the soap, but mostly it boils down to three steps:
1. Use a moist/damp rag and get most of the dirt off.
2. Use a (clean!) damp rag to rub a small amount of saddle soap all over your shoes. Rub it in well.
3. Use a (non-soapy!) damp rag to remove the soap.
Good luck!

I bought my first pair of Ecco RXP 3040 shoes after reading great reviews: however my right shoes rubs along my little toea region. After having them stretched, no relief. I have worn narrow New Balance...

There is a nifty compound that's made in the UK called Sugru. There's a "life hack" there on using it to stop your shoes from rubbing. Here's the how-to video:

Even better, there's a do-it-yourselfer version of Sugru you can make at home:

I know this isn't really an answer, but I hope it helps. Good luck!

How should I clean my DVS shoes? what should I use? They are suede and I think leather. My dog **** on them and I dont think I should put them in the washer/dryer. The tag says; Gender: WOMENS, Style:...

What I would recommend is a shoe cleaner. Try THIS cleaner, they have suede cleaner conditioner and leather lotion. They get great reviews and can help keep your shoes clean and new looking. You can always use a waterproofer so that next time the dogs **** does not stain. You can find everything you would need on the ECCO shoe website. Next time have a cleaner so you can take care of the stain right away.

I plan to purchase wrestling shoes for my young son. What should I look at when buying wrestling shoes?

If you're buying shoes for the first time or replacing an old pair these advices will help ensure you get the most from your purchase. Size- Each manufacturer has different recommendations. For example, Asics and Adidas recommend that you add a 1/2 size to your gym shoe size while Nike recommends one full size to your normal gym shoe size. The 1/2 size for Asics and Adidas is a good benchmark. For younger wrestlers you should probably add a full size to their normal shoe size. This way the shoes will last longer, especially if your daughter or son is growing quickly. Price - Next, you need to determine your budget Most wrestling shoes range from $40 to well over $100. If you're not sure whether your son or daughter will stay in the sport long enough to get full value from the shoes, it's best to go with the cheaper shoe. Brand - Finally your last option is to choose the brand. As mentioned, Brute, Adidas, Nike, Infinity, and Asics have been manufacturing shoes for many years and provide great quality products. In many cases your wrestler will get 1-2 years out of these shoes.

How would I go about solving this word problem? The priceof one brand of athletic shoes is $5 more than another brand. If the price of two pairs of shoes add up to $230, how much does each pair cost?

Hello

The solution follows below:

2B+5=230
2B=230-5
2B=225
B=$112.50 (Cost of Shoe B)
.
Therefore Shoe A = (Shoe B + $5)=112.50+5=$117.50 (Cost of Shoe A)
$112.50+$117.50=$230.00

Soccer Cleats

Two quick thoughts.

1) Puma, while a cool brand, aren't generally thought of as high end cleats.

2) In any brand, they will have various levels of quality. Something under $100 is generally going to have less quality in construction and be less able to withstand serious play.

It could be that your daughter is now playing at a very serious level, so a pair of $40 cleats that would withstand a whole season or two might now break down faster because she is making much harder cuts etc. Also, though the Kings some in several varieties, they are generally a great cleat, so I'm supposing you paid at least $80 for them and they are either leather or Kangaroo Leather. I know for certain that if you don't pay attention to wetness, you can easily kill a pair of leather shoes. Either by drying them too fast or by letting them stay wet too long, you could break down the material.

BUT regardless, take them back and see about getting a discount or refund. They should last longer than that. Good luck.
