My digicam lens keeps on moving... coming in and coming out and the screen says "ACCES"

Hi,

The ACCESS error message displays when there is an internal malfunction or a malfunction with the Lens. This may also appear when accessing the Memory Stick for reading or writing the data. If the Lens is moving in and out then follow the steps mentioned below. The error message normally displays with the issue with the Lens. Try the following steps to check if the issue can be resolved.
Try power resetting the Camera.
Turn off the Camera.
Remove the battery pack.
Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
Then, allow the Camera to remain without power for 60 seconds.
Re-insert the battery pack and check if the Lens retracts.
You can also try resetting the Camera back to factory default. To reset the Camera back to factory default, select the INITIALIZE option from the Setup 1 Menu of the Camera to OK. (Menu-->Setup-->Setup 1-->Initialize-->OK.)

This should resolve the issue. If the issue persists, service may be required.

  4. Clean the metal contacts on the Memory Stick media with a soft, dry cloth or clean pencil eraser.
  5. Reinsert the Memory Stick media into the camera.
  6. Turn on the camera.
  7. If the issue reoccurs, turn off the camera.
  8. Remove the Memory Stick media from the camera.
  9. Insert a different Memory Stick media.
  10. Turn on the camera. NOTE: If the issue does not occur with different Memory Stick media, the previous Memory Stick media may be faulty and should be discarded.

How to replace passenger side brake light bulb

The process for changing the tail light bulbs for a 2003 New Beetle TDI is relatively simple.

To remove the lens and gain access to the bulbs you first need to release the lens holder from inside the trunk by completely unscrewing the large plastic wing nut that is under a round plastic panel that's located almost directly behind the rear brake light lens.

To gain access to the plastic wing nut remove the round panel by gently prying it off. After this is done you release the lens by using something flat like screwdriver to pry and release the clip that holds the lens in place. Locating the clip: The rear fender has two seams that end at the light lens, the inboard seam (the one closest to the hatch)is where you want to insert the table knife to pry the metal clip that holds the lens in place.

Gently and carefully insert the flathead screwdriver directly at the seam and pry upward to release the lens. Once the clip releases pull the lens the rest of the way and remove the bulbs by turning the bulb holder sockets counter-clockwise. After this is done remove bulbs by slightly pushing down on the bulb and turning it counter-clockwise.

To reinstall is reverse of the removal the procedure. When re-installing take care to clock the lens where the metal clip and the lens protrusions end up in the same position as before. Note: you may need to assist sliding the lens retaining clip in with the screwdriver when reinstalling!

Good luck and thank you for using Fixya

I cannot acces my computer stays at intel screen

Open the computer, and you will see near the bottom right corner a blue jumper on 2 of 3 pins. The pins are J9J4 and the jumper should be on pins 1 and 2.

Turn off the computer and the power supply, remove the little round battery from the motherboard, move the blue jumper to pins 2 and 3 and wait 40 seconds. Reinstall the battery, and then move the blue jumper back to pins 1 and 2.

Turn on the power supply, restart the computer and the BIOS settup utility should appear

My Sony DSC-w55 turns on and reads on ACCESS on black screen.

I had the same "access" problem as everyone else - but here's the real way to permanently fix this problem when banging and smacking it barely works.

1 - Remove battery and memory stick. Back up the mem stick if necessary or paranoid.

2 - Using a small Phillips head screwdriver, remove all of the screws you see from the front (lens side), right and left sides of the camera. Then remove all three of the covers and place aside.
3 - Clean and remove all dirt & dust in and around front of camera, paying special attention to areas close the lens and lens housing areas.
4 - Insert battery and close the battery cover and then PLACE THE CAMERA RIGHT-SIDE UP ON A FLAT, NON-METALLIC SURFACE, MAKING SURE THAT YOU'RE NOT TOUCHING ANY OF THE EXPOSED CIRCUITS OR WIRING TO AVOID POTENTIAL SHOCK. This isn't a danger issue, more of a cover-my-*** related note. When I did this for my DSC-W55 I touched it just about everywhere without receiving generating anything close to a shock.
5 - Press the power button. If lens does open fully and you're still receiving the "access" message, continue powering off and on while using a toothpick or compressed air to remove remaining dirt and dust particles.
6 - When you're DSC-W55 is back in business - and after you've tested it multiple times via several on/off cycles, begin replacing the covers one at a time. The trick is to replace one cover, then to test the camera again via several on/off cycles. Do this until you've reattached all covers and camera is fully operational once again.
Tip - you may find success early by varying the tightness of the screws for each side's cover as you move along the on/off cycle process.
