Screen reads,system error and has a trouble code of E 74 What could be the problem?
The Xbox 360 e74 error is a rather common problem on
Xbox consoles, with similar roots to the now infamous red ring of death
The e74 issue is actually caused by a problem
with the scaler (ANA or HANA) chips located next to the graphics
processor inside your Xbox 360.
It is believed that the error with the
scaler video chip which causes the e74 error on your Xbox 360 is caused
by overheating. This is also the cause of other errors such as the no
video problem, as well as red lights in the power ring of an Xbox
To fix the Xbox 360 e74 code, there are a few steps you need to take-
Firstly, leave this article open, go to your Xbox 360 console and then
remove the AV cable. Blow any dust out of it, then re-insert it snugly
back into the console until a clicking is heard. Power on your console
again and see if the problem has been fixed.
