? When the zoom speed is high, the subject may not be focused easily.
Also you Focus could be not set on auto which thinks the subject is either closer or father away from the camera.

connect the usb cable to the camera, next to that entrance you'll see the entrance for ac/dc adaptor, plug that in as well.

There should be an extra cable that plugs into the battery charger and then into the camcorder to supply power to the camcorder.
