Just a thought - are your Image Stabilizer and Auto Focus switches On or Off? Might be worth experimenting with them. Otherwise, sorry, can't help. May be necessary to contact your vendor.
My Samsung camera SL105 won't turn on. When I push the power button the lens tries to extend out but won't. Then it beeps and goes back in. What is this from. I got it to open a couple times today but back to same now.
Sorry about your moms camera Terry... but it sounds like it needs the lens replaced. If the lens is stuck out at an angle you can *SNAP* the inner lens section back into place if you're lucky, and it will work again like normal.
I don't know your model, but a refurb lens can usually be installed for about $75 including return shipping. You should check the replacement cost of a used camera and see which is cheaper in the long run.

Does there is something happened when you turn on the camera? If you can heard sound made by the len or the camera try to open but turn off in a second?

Yes, please turn off the camera when changing lens, make sure on the lens is on its full aperture if you are doing auto. if doest not work to make is test turn the camera on the manual mode and the lens too. If your lens is new there should not be any problem, if you bought the lens used make sure all the points are clear not rusted. some time when lens fall of it breaks its points inside.
