Both of My audiovox infrared headphone has no sound. I have changed the batteries, red light is on, and volume up. Still no sound. We can hear the sound on the car radio.

Go in to the "applications>utilities" folder. Run the "Audio/MIDI Setup" program. Insure the audio out is actually going to the headphone out.

be sure that a correct pairing was done.

Are your headphones blutooth or infra-red? Is your Trinitron Blutooth or infrared enabled to allow you to listen to it thru your headphones? If so, there must be an on/off switch that would actuate the Blutooth or infrared meachanism on the Trinitron itself. Otherwise, you WON'T be able to hear sound.

Using the wiring colors check the head unit output with a test speaker.

Hi, Infrared means there should be a transmitter ( a base unit ) to send music and audio to the headphones. This is connected through the line output or headphone jack of the t.v. or laptop. unfortunately these units require the remote to adjust volume visit www.remotes.com they have the remote for mvohd70 (the infrared headphones have volume on sides) if it is RCA cabled to your head unit you can control sound in car but if you are referring to the direct headphone jack remote is the only solution

My set has an led that glows red when on...if batteries in correctly, and switch on...do you have a red "POWER" indicator. If yes, & still no sound, 1-does the other set work? 2- either side of prob set work? 3-VOLUME up all the way? Could be bad receiver/bad speaker(s) bad vol switch.
IF no POWER led on, then 1-bad batteries 2-bad power switch 3-broken internal power lead/wire.
Kids are rough on these things...any sign was dropped, or dunked in a coke? REMOVE ear cushions are screws if yur inclined.... sk
