Microwave turns on but doesnt heat - Whirlpool GT4175SPS Stainless Steel 1200 Watts Microwave Oven

the motor for the turn table has broke and when it doesnt turn it wont heat?needs new motor or new microwave

Your microwave is in demo mode, which means it will not heat. To turn it off touch and hold TIMER SET/OFF for 5 seconds until 2 tones sound and the "d" disappears on the display.

This happens because of a bad door switch . The plastic mounts inside the microwave which hold the door switches and onto which the door latches lock when you close the door .

Check also the turntable . It could be out of it's right place .

WARNING :

1:Don't slam your microwave door because this may cause the fuse to blow and this is the reason of bad door switch problem .
2: A microwave is capable of giving you a serious electrical shock even when it's unplugged , so I recommend you to call a repair technician for help .

our microwave has power, turns on correctly but doesnt heat. It sounds like it is heating but it don't.

as to not heating up, its probably a bad magnetron, and as to not turning, not sure

heat element on its final legs

If the light doesnt come on and it heats and the turn table spins then it is just a bulb.

If there is no light no heat and the turn table doesnt turn then there is a monitor switch that is bad.

check  highvoltage circuit and magnetron and diodes and condencer and related parts, control circuit also check.
