I have a problem with my alero.the mini fuses (10 AMP)that go to the gauges,ac,and speedometer,get blown out every tine i install a new one in place.the ac blower comes on but no ac cold air.both the mini fuses in the engine compartment and in the cab blow at the same time.i know there is definatly a short somewhere but dont know where to start.

Without being there to help your best bet would be to get a box of fuses and start unplugging each component one at a time until the fuse does not blow. Now you will know where the problem is.

CHECK 10 AMPS FUSES IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER LEFT SIDE OF DASH. DRIVER SIDE FOR DASH LIGHTS AND SPEEDOMETER AND TACHOMETER. CHECK UNDER THE HOOD IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON DRIVER SIDE.FOR POWER WINDOWS + AC FUSES AND RELAYS LOOK ON THE FUSE COVER IT WILL HAVE A LEGEND OR LOCATIONS FOR ALL FUSES AND RELAYS.
Had same problem with my 2000 dodge stratus 2.4 liter and transmission would not shift out of 1st gear. Solution was ignition fuse under the hood was blown, one side of fuse working, replaced 10 am fuse everything works, tach, speedometer, gas gauge and transmission started back to shifting.
just recently the 10 amp mini fuse keeps blowing
out for the ac fans. It blowed 3 fuses one right behind
the other.
