You can typically find replacement carbon brushes for Vitamix blenders at appliance repair shops, online retailers, or directly from Vitamix. Ensure you get the correct model-specific brushes for the VM0145 blender with a 3Hp motor. Double-check the compatibility before purchasing to ensure a proper fit.

You might be able to buy them as a spare part from the manufacturer but if not there are a host of companies supplying all manner of carbon brushes and even some companies that will manufacture a pair to order, requiring little other than one of the originals as a pattern.

Parts for Campbell Hausfeld can be found at www.chpower.com. Campbell Hausfeld does not however, sell motor parts for many of their tools. You would have to call their 800 number and speak with a parts person to determine availability. You may be able to purchase a close match at a local True Value hardware store. They sell a variety of brushes for many major brands of tools. Purchase a slightly larger set of brushes and sand them to size. If the connector is different, cut off the old connector and solder it to the new brush.

If you're Toro electric blower is slowing down, throwing sparks, or not starting you may need to replace the carbon brushes. Replacing brushes and cleaning commutator early can prevent damage to motor armature!

Toro replacements are hard to find because Toro does not sell them and it is tricky to make you own.

You can get brushes at almost any hardware store, just tell them what kind of motor they go into. Call first, save a trip.

Call a few hardware store....I think I found my brushes at True Value. Then take the brushes/case & spring to a lawn mower etc. repair shop...they charge you a few bucks to get the right angle and length with the spring and case. Hope it helps!
