Trying to download/play games but get this message: Input not supported - then my computer FREEZES and I have to reboot. This a brand new Dell Computer (but not monitor - monitor is 6 years old).

This is cause the game you are trying to play is configured to play in a high resolution but your Monitor not supporting this resolution. If you havent try to play older games, try to play an older game and see if this is happening again. Thanks. Please Rate my Solution.

Hints:
1) Change to Plug and Play monitor driver
2) try changing the screen resolution on the PC, and driver.
3) try changing to 60Hz the refresh rate of the monitor on driver section or options on the monitor driver.

Acer al1716 monitor input not supported

You get the message because the game try to run at the PC video resolution that you monitor cannot display/support. You need to run your game at native resolution of the monitor.

Never ever download games. 50% chance they are large hac_ker files.

Uninstall all your downloaded games from the add rmove section of your control panel. then reboot ur pc.

When I plug in ANY usb device, the computer freezes

Disconnect all external devices except the keyboard, monitor, mouse and network.

download a bios update from the dell support site. Update the bios, allow it to reboot. After you reboot, go back to the dell support site and download the latest chipset drivers for your system.

After you reboot one last time, that should do the trick.

Dell Tech Support

I have this same problem and cannot afford them...I have a Dell Dimension2400 series. I know its old and may need some new hardware but overall it does work pretty well. I want to uninstall the musicmatch program from my computer as this is missing some files and every time I download something it trys to play it in music match and then this freezes my computer. I tried everything to uninstall it myself and can't

Game Freezes up CPU

your video card cannot support the graphics that game is trying to run. Try setting the graphics on the game's menu to a lower resolution or get a higher powered video card.
