Question about Hitachi 53FDX20B 53" Rear Projection Television
First before doing any work
on the tv, unplug overnight so that the capacitors will discharge. Next the
chips you are referring to will not be hard to find and will be located on the
convergence board which can be found easily. Just follow the bulb back to the
source. For replacing, you will need to know how to solder, if you don't, find
someone that does as this is very important.
You can get the chips from Radio Shack, they should be STK 392-110 and the other one STK 392-150, but find them on the board first and check to make sure. I think that it may be a different problem but these are cheap and a good place to start so give it a try. You can also order these chips online at various websites. Just search for the two chips
