Requesting hp pavilion dv1000 audio drivers

Hi princesaazul2000 . I have HP pavilion dv1000 notebook .Recently i reinstalled windows xp pro due to hard drive replacement . Now i have volume Control with Missing many options !! Only Speaker, Wave, SW Synth and CD Player are there. Then when I click Options, Properties, the options are virtually blank (probably due to the missing items above). I even can't record from either built in mic or any other mic!! The steromix option is missing too!! Furthermore,How do I add Microphone, Aux Line In, Recording Control, etc?

So i be glad if you send me the working audio drivers for hp pavilion dv1000 since the ones in hp site doesn't fix the above problems.Looking forward for your reply. Thanks

I have had this problem for a while, and I solved it by learning exactly how to search the HP driver listings correctly. The issue stems from the fact that searching for "HP Pavilion dv1000" is not as specific as you might think...

Step one:
Go Here
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&dest_page=product&docname=c00033108&product=18073
Find the *EXACT* model number of your laptop. For instance, it turns out my "HP Pavilion dv1000" is actually a "dv1657cl." Alternately, you can take down the Product Number (or p/n).

Step two:
Go Here
http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html
I am sure we are all familiar with this page, but you will find that it is a little more helpful now that we are armed with the knowledge that it requires. Search on this page with your model number or p/n and you should find the correct drivers (for audio as well as other devices) easily.

For example, I finally found this page for my "dv1657cl."
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=2511500

Good luck, everyone!

Not sure with the exact Model since Notebook models starting from DV1000 till DV1599EA will be having Conexant AC97 Audio card.

However, if your notebook is over the dv1600 series, it is installed with Intel High Definition Audio.

So, please get back with the exact Product Number of your Notebook which you can find printed on a white sticker pasted at the bottom of the Notebook indicated with P/N.

HP Pavilion dv1000 PC Notebook Audio Problem

There are two different audio cards shipped with Pavilion DV1000 series Notebooks.

If your Notebooks belong to DV1600 series, your Notebook should have been shipped with Conexant High Definition Audio card.

This can be one of the reason why you are unable to install the Conexant AC Link audio drivers in your Notebooks.

You need to install Microsoft UAA Drivers first before installing the Conexant High Definition Audio Drivers in the Notebook.

Download the Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture(UAA) Drivers for your Notebook from the HP link below :

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-33000/sp32646.exe

Please save the file in the Notebook and double click it after the download completes to install the drivers. Restart the Computer once the installation of the Microsoft UAA Drivers is completed.

Now download the Conexant High Definition audio drivers from the link below :

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-33000/sp32864.exe

Save the file and double click on it once it is saved to install the Drivers.

This should solve the issue with audio in your Notebooks.

Hope this helps...

HP Pavilion DV1000 drivers...

I found the problem to be a rather simple but frustrating one....when is an HP dv1000 not a dv1000....almost always!! You cannot get the correct downloads based on the model number on the tag. You must specify the PRODUCT NUMBER on the HP download site from the tag, not model. You can enter the general DV1000 and get to the download page and look for the entry "Not your Product?!" Follow that link and enter the PN from the tag....download those and you will get drivers that work with your unit. My "DV1000" was actually a DV1660!!!!
