I have lost sitecom installation CD?

Go to this site:

http://www.sitecom.com/support/

enter your module number and you should be able to download drivers from there.

Burn them to a new cd and keep in a safe place.

Sitecom WL-342 Wireless Router won't access internet.

Hello,

Make sure there is a network cable going from your ADSL modem into the WAN connection of the router.

If the ADSL modem is wireless, then it is also a router in whihc case you will want to bypass the WL-342 all together.

Thanks,

Pat

I selected an MAC adress in the software of my WL312Sitecom router.I guess the wrong one because now I can't access 192.168.0.1

Reset the router via the little hole in back/underneath. Then simply set it up again, properly. Below is a link for the manual it has a step by step walk through for setup to help you. www.sitecom.com/showdownload.php?id=3779

Can't setup to virgin braodband

You mean ascii and hexadecimal.
  • Hard wire your router to your PC with an ethernet cable
  • Open your web browser, go to website http://192.168.0.1
  • Input username/password both are "admin" (without the quotes)
  • choose "wireless settings" (third tab from left)
  • go to "security" (fourth tab from left)
  • Choose WEP (if the first box on this page already says WEP you may skip this step)
  • choose 64-bit
  • type random 10 digit code into key 1 (eg. 38-38-2D-E3-B0)
  • Save settings (bottom of page)
  • write code down somewhere or make it easy to remember
  • disconnect your ethernet cable from router, try to connect to wireless network, enter code (from above) and it will connect.

Problem with sitecom wl-130 connection

I think I have the solution: you have to click on the basic settings tab, then n "site survey" button, then (optional) on "refresh" button.
Now you will get the information about your network, and you just have to check the channel number of the signal from your main router. then you have to set that channel in the "channel" button of the basic settings tab. You also have to choose Universal repeater as working mode of the sitecom device, instead of Access Point.
Hope it helps.
By the way, all these settings should be automatic in such a device.... But this sitecom range extender is ****.
I suggest everybody is reading: DON,T BUY THIS ITEM!!!! Spend 10 bucks more and get a working one!!!

Compatibility with Sitecom wl 031

This 10dBi omni directional antenna enables you to very easily extend the range of your wireless network. By linking the Omni Antenna to your wireless router, you gain the benefits of an optimum wireless signal while minimising the number of ‘dead spots’ (points in your home where the signal is either weak or lost).
However it does not fit the following types of routers, modems and accespoints:
WL-143
WL-122v2
WL-114/WL-517
WL-114v2
WL-108/WL109
WL-111
WL-106
WL-025
WL-018v2
These antenne's will also fit other brands of wireless products that use an SMA connector
