What do you mean? Is the progress bar stuck at 60%?
Have you installed OS 3.0 recently?

There is a major bug in the 3.0 OS which does permanently brick TI-Nspire calculators on the 2nd booting of the new OS.

It has been reported for over a week all around the world - check here: http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?topic=7943.0

It's impossible to repair without a special external hardware. You've got to contact TI-Cares and ask for a replacement calculator.

TI has just removed OS 3.0 from its servers today. This should have been done much sooner...

On my TI-Inspire, when I go to start the calculator, it stops loading and gives me the message "Operating System not found. Install OS now." How can I fix this?

If you dont have the TI Computer Link Software you must download it from the TI site. Once it is installed plug you device into the computer and run the program. Select your device using the button at the bottom right of screen. Once selected click help then check for handheld OS update then follow on screen instructions.

How do I factor using the fx-115 ES calculator? would a problem like 9x^2+24x+16-Z^2 be solvable on this calculator? If not, does Casio sell any calculators that would help me factor this equation?

No, your calculator cannot factor polynomials. You need a calculator that has a CAS (computer Algebra System)
Yes Casio sells calculators with CAS: The FX-Algebra 2.0 and 1.0, the FX-9860GPLUS/GII SD, the GRAPH85 or 80 and the Graph 100+. You also have the CLASSPAD Series 300PLUS and 330.
TI and HP also have CAS calculators.

Texas Instruments
TI 89 /Titanium, Voyage 200PLT, TI92PLUS (discontinued), TI Inspire CAS.

Hewlet-Packard
HP 48G/G+/GX, HP40G, HP49G/G+ and the top of the line HP50G

How can you change your language on your ti 84 silver edition calculator in under 4 key strokes

That would depend on what language-switching software you have loaded on the calculator. If you have one or more of TI's loaded, you can switch language by pressing APP, the digit corresponding to the language you want, then one more digit.

Havent used my ti-inspire since last school year.wont turn on

Hello,
Here is what the TI knowledge base says about a calculator failing to turn on

For the TI-Nspire™ Family:
  1. Remove thekeypad (for TI-Nspire) or the battery door (for TI-Nspire CAS) andremove at least 1 battery from each column of batteries. After 2-5seconds, reinsert the batteries and turn the unit on. This will causethe unit to reboot the operating system.
  2. Remove the keypad(for TI-Nspire) or the battery door (for TI-Nspire CAS) and remove atleast 1 battery from each column of batteries. After 2-5 seconds, reinsert the batteries and LEAVE THE UNIT OFF (do not turn on and thenback off). Hold down [Home] [Enter] [P], and while holdingthese keys, press [On]. The device will boot up as in the previousreset, but will display a menu with the following options. Please tryoptions 1, 2, 3, and 4 in that order. ** The [Home] key is located atthe top right of the TI-Nspire keypad and has a picture of a house onit.
Note:TI-Nspire family model options 2 and 4 above require that the OS be installed. The reset menu will only display if the unit is off and batteries have been removed/replaced as described above.

1. Cancel - The most non-intrusive reset option; no changes are made, the unit restarts.
2. Delete Operating System – The operating system will be deleted without deleting any documents.
3. Delete Document Folder Contents – This will delete the user’s documents, but will not delete the OS.
4. Complete Format – This will delete the OS and all documents for a total erase of memory.

Hope it helps you solve the problem.
