Either one of two things has happened. First, you may have unseated a wire from its solder, or the entire diapragm is damaged. I would open it up and have a look-see for any damage to the wire... If there isn't, I would send it in for service.

Help with microphone

This doesn't sound good...mic cartridges are pretty fragile and is why I recommend buying quality mic's so that a few "drops" won't change the sound. That being said, the Sen MD431 is over $400 which should mean either you gave it one heck of an impact, or the mic has a manufacturing defect. Try returning for factory service BUT request an estimate B-4 repair.

Wireless microphones vhf transmitter green light no sound

Either mic "mute" is on or mic capsule is dead...dropping these low-end wireless mic's are usually fatal. Upgrade and you won't regret it.

No sound

1st thing to try is a different XLR microphone cable. Sounds too simple, but sometimes it's the cable. If the mic has ever been dropped/damaged, OR has seen alot of saliva/spit from singing into it...it's possible the diaphragm has crapped out. At which point, get a new mic, because the SM-48 is not an expensive mic to replace with same.

External microphone thinkpad t41

Control Panel, Sounds, look at Recording devices (depends on the OS you are using, you didn't mention, Vista, XP, 7,8?), Mic. Your Headphones jack, when in use, will cause the internal sound to disable, depending on OS the mic setup is a bit different but you should find it in sounds, recording devices.

I just bought a new logitech C250 and i just did a test video chat through gmail and i could hear the sound from the other end but they could not hear me. vid is working fine

First, do have pink and green leads plugged in to the pink and green designated contacts? If so, go to installation where it lets you check the working of sound and voice recording. Make sure the mic is connected to pink (select it on the screen). Do a test. If the test does not record your voice, you don't have the right mic selected. I had this problem and didn't notice that Realtec was selected. IUse the drop down menus to select the right connection for your mic and earphones. If the drop down menu does not drop down, I'd uninstall all and start over. That's what I had to do. This is difficult to describe without being able to show you these screens.

Acer Aspire internal mic won't work.

You need to check the record settings and make sure the mic is not muted or turned down to low. Click START, CONTROL PANEL, then SOUND icon. Click the AUDIO tab up top. Make sure that your sound card is selected in the drop down menu under Sound Recording. Now click VOLUME tab. A new window will open up. Click OPTIONS then PROPERTIES. Make sure you have a check by the MIC and click OK. In the Recording Control window, turn the level up for Microphone and make sure it is not muted. Let me know what happens.

Dropped the mic.

I would imagine the mic element broke. To test, remove from the case and without touching anything else, touch (using a small screwdriver if need be) the solder connections on the wires for the mic element (while system is up). Hum? Yes? bad mic element. No? Problem with electronics. Look for broken wires also.
The receiver shows signal so RF is ok. You have a problem with the audio section.

No sound comes out of the mic....

there's not really any way to tell whats wrong with it apart from it seems to be damaged internally.. if you have the receipt and its still under warranty i'd take it back and not mention the drop!

Sound Input problems

What you have to do is go to your speaker volume icon in the taskbar, right click and go to open volume control and click mute microphone. If mic does not show click Advanced. This dissables the onboard mic but allows the use of your external microphone, rectifying the tinny sound.
