Question about Bosch KGU34641 Bottom Freezer Refrigerator

KGU 34641 GB TOP REFRIGERATOR

Please help,
the top refrigerator not the freezer unit seems not to be working. Everything in the freezer is still frozen and it looks to be fully working but the fridge section is not. Fridge feels warm, the fan seems not to be working and it smells slightly of plastic. The light is functioning fine and turns on and off with the door opening and closing. I have felt at the back of the fridge inside and its feels warm especially around the top shelf- however it does feel cooler on the lower shelves. All the lights on the outside are on and there are no flashing or red lights. In the last few days it has been whirring and clicking but its not continuous and the manual reads that this is normal. Cant undertand why the fridge does not work and freezer does. Can you help please I went food shopping around 3pm and have had to put everything in the freezer.

Please email: [email protected]

Thanks so Much
Miss N Mcgough

Hi,I believe you may have a blockage in the intake from the freezer to the fridge as cold air is blown up from the freezer to make the fridge coldhope this helps, mike,

Whirlpool refrigerator #ER2CHMXPL02 I think I have two separate problems. 1st one is a water leak that fills the bottom bins daily! The freezer does not seem to be defrosting, everything in there looks...

Could be that the freezer is too full with foodstuff and there is no air circulation, therefor, some places in the freezer build ice. The defroster is working and melting the ice that drips to the bottom bins.
I suggest you remove everything from the freezer. unplug the frigde. Let all ice build ups melt. Remove ice from the foodstuff and put back in. Make sure that vents in the freezer and fridge are not blocked.

Water collecting in bottom of freezer

Unblock the drain hose. You may have to access it from the back of the unit and it may be frozen up so you may have to fully defrost the freezer

Water is leaking from the freezer down into the refrigerator at the front, but freezer is freezing.

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

It seems your drain tube from the freezer is clogged or frozen. this tube is used during defrosting.
since the unit cant drain, it drains into the refrigerator.

Since you left door open I think the evaporator is frozen up .Just shut it off for a while and let everything defrost then turn it back on and you should be fine

The freezer isn't staying as cold as it should. There is some frost on the rear wall-this is supposed to be a frost-free unit. Everything else seems to be OK. Please help!

OK this is whats has happened. Your freezer has frozen up. You need to get a large cooler, get your hands on some Dry-ice put all the stuff you want to keep in the cooler lay news paper on top and put the dry-ice on top of that. a 30qt cooler will take 1 - 2lbs dry-ice. Working as quick as you can get all the stuff out of the freezer, get the shelves out and get the back of the freezer off to access the freezer coil. (unplug it from the wall. You can use a hair drier and warm water thaw out the coil and be sure the drain in the back is clear and water drains out to the pan underneath. Look closely at all the wiring in there, look for a switch that mounts on to a coil it has a clip that will hold it onto one of the coils, be sure it is clipped on to the coil make sure no wires are broken Put it all back together leaving access in case we need back in to the coil. (do not put it all the way back together). plug it up and run it for a while putting some stuff back in with a cup full of water to check how fast it freezes. If it works for 4 days and all stays frozen all is well. If it quits next day -- re-post with results.

My fridge in my fridge freezer keeps freezing everything in it.

If the fridge side is frozen you have a door seal issue.
If the freezer side is frozen you have a defrost component issue.
Your post was not clear as to which side is frozen.

Kenmore refrigerator not cooling

Is there frost on the back wall? If so your coil is frozen up and you have a defrost problem. The water coming out of the freezer door could also be caused by the same problem.
