One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognized it error like this when i am insert my kingston data traveler 2 gb in all systems

4]Click Universal Serial Bus Controllers
5]Right click the USB
6]Click Uninstall
then Reboot computer while pendrive is inserted in USB
Then connect to the internet. When you connect to the internet if the said USB is empty
(i.e. no device is inserted in it) they install the device
eventhough the device is not present, causing the said error.
The thumb drive might have some fault. Plug it in other OS mainly windows XP and Linux. If still same problem persists after tried in Linux, problem is with pen drive. You can ask for a replacement from the dealer as it has guarantee for 5years.
Since you have these many problems with your laptop, Firstly try to reformat the system and reinstall all the neccessary drivers. Many times reformatting works well as your OS might malfunction when you have virus or malwares in your laptop.

Click Start, click Run, type Devmgmt.msc, and then click OK. The Device Manager window opens.
Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
Right-click a USB Root Hub in the list, and then click Properties. The USB Root Hub Properties dialog box is displayed.
Click the Power Management tab.
Click to clear the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box, and then click OK.
Repeat steps 3 through 6 for each USB Root Hub in the list.
On the Action menu, click Scan for hardware changes.
Windows XP recognizes the new device.
Close the Device Manager window.
