Sounds like it's broken. If it's new, I'd return it if you can. Even if it's something you can get past on your own it may indicate other problems and you don't want to risk it going out when you need it.
Turn off the breaker that controls power to the fan. Remove the batteries from the remote and press the buttons in case one is stuck. Reinstall batteries or new ones. Turn on the fan breaker and try using the remote again
No solution, mine does the same exact thing but blinks orange five times. I got an error message that said click to fix it. I did it and the computer tried to reset itself but simply died. With brick cord out...nothing happens. Same with battery same with power cord in. The battery was fine.
It may have died during a forced windows update.
I hope someone comes along otherwise it's "buy a mobo" and buy a battery and so on....
Make sure all the ends on your battery cables are clean and tight. I got a tow in because my car would not try to start even tried boosting to no avail. All my lights and radio was working but they said the cable was corroded and would not let the full power work. We replaced the battery cables and worked like new now.
