Leave the washing machine unplugged for a good hour or so, if it does not reset check the control board behind the panel, probably you need to replace it.

Check also the door, as sweetrascal said there is a small switch that prevents the unit from starting when door is opened, check that it is not stuck, try playing with it.

I have a built in IDW604. It won't start. No power.I have changed the fuse and reset the RCB.

Remove power to the machine. Look for a failed microswitch within the door cavity where the door latch locks. A microswitch should make a distinct 'click' when the button is pressed, but the best test is looking for zero ohms across the switch terminals when the button is pressed. Hope this helps!

The E3 code is normally related to the overheating of the water during a wash. There is a thermal swith that has a manual reset button mounted on it. The button is normally red in colour and is about 3mm in diameter. REMEMBER TO SWITCH OFF THE POWER BFORE ATTEMPTING ANY REPAIRS. The switch is accessed by removing the silver plate mounted beneath the door. The plate is secured by 2 phillips screws. The switch, black in colour, is mounted to the left and is about 10cm in from the front of the machine. Simply press the red button to reset. This should solve the problem but if the problem persists I suggest you call an engineer.
