Hi, to save your text messages, you can use this tool: SynciOS., Go to My Device>Information>Messages, click on Save button to save your text messages in txt format.
There is no setting that i know off that can transfer the SMSes to the storage card.
However, if you are looking to save the smses on your pocketpc, you can use this software called Pocket SMS. This will create a copy of your sms on the computer. Later you can transfer the data to the storage card for safe keeping.
ok when you bought the phone did you get a software cd with it? If so install that and transfer your messages through syncronisation and it should save to the pc.
I try this sms transfer days ago. It could save the sms to pc and restore back to your cell phone. It get the job done well. But it just support the phone running on Windows Mobile System. Here is the user guideline of the software. http://www.godswmobile.com/transfer-sms-from-windows-mobile-phone-to-pc.html
you can transfer your text messages to your PC by installing a software on your PC called Jeyo Mobile Companion. download this software, install it and then connect your phone with the PC. once synchronized, you will be able to transfer all your text messages to your PC as a "Notepad" document! i hope this works for yah.. for your other question, go to start then settings, then "sounds and notifications", then go to the "notifications" tab, then in the "event" pull down menu select "messaging:new text message" and then check the "play sound" check box and then select any sound you would like. simple isn't it? ;)
