Rforester,

This model Mitsubishi has some capacitor problems with the DM board and the power supply. See my tip at http://www.fixya.com/support/r7065906-mitsubishi_turn_flashing_power_timer which explains the problem and where to get the parts to repair your unit.

Thanks for using FixYa and for the great rating.

Mitsubishi wd-73738 turns itself back on

Hi,

It sound like the remote is powering off the cable box but not the TV. The remote control may need to be reprogrammed to the TV. When you press power it may only power off the Cable box. At that point, try pressing the TV button on your remote and then Power. If it does not power off the tV after pressing the tV button, the remote may need to be reprogrammed to the tv. Cable companies usually have the codes needed to program their remotes to the TVs.

My LG LCD 32LD350 seemed to have been fried in a storm last night, stanby red light no longer lit and won't turn on, still see some green lighting inside televison, but it won't turn on, Is it

Is it repairable, well, this question can be answered only after opening the back cover and evaluating the damage. From you side, please connect the TV to a different power outlet where other similar devices are working and see. Then try changing the input device to something that sure works. If it does not work even then, this may need attention by a qualified service technician.

Hello, We had a storm last night that blew power to the house. When we turned the safety switch on the meter box back on the TV wont turn on. The red light is on but unable to actually turn tv on. Is...

Yes, we had a cracker of a storm to pardon the pun!
There is likely to be serious damage to the power supply. There may not be but there might.
Check your house insurance and see if you have storm damage. If you have submit a claim and go buy a new one, if not find a manufacturer authorised agent and get an estimate.

check the back of the set and see if there is a red reset button, or try unplugging the set for a couple of minutes then plug it back in. If you have cable or dish make sure these have reset properly,

Flashing green light

You don't even have to replace the whole board. The problem is 4 capacitors (# depends on the model of the TV). Can be fixed for under $10, and a couple of hours of labor.

Green power light will not stop flashing and tv will not turn on or off

You need to replace the 1000uf capacitors on the DM board thats the classic symptom of the DM caps being bad the light continues to blink repeatedly. If you need more info on the repair let me know.

Power button Flashes

For the first one, please list the model number and count the blinks. Also, can you please post each problem separately. It will get too confusing trying to address 3 sets with different but similar problems.
Thanks,
Dan
