I would think that you have a joystick problem and the only fix is to have it replaced. If Medicare paid for your chair then they will pay 80% of the repair cost. Contact your provider where you got the chair and ask if they can repair it for you or call Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 to check on your eligibility for a repair and they will send a tech out to check the chair Hope this helps

Can i lock the controls on my jazzy 1121

This is taken from the owner's manual from the 1121 with a VSI controller:

I suggest you print this out and keep it handy.

Locking/Unlocking the VSI

The VSI has a feature that enables you to

lock your power chair to prevent unauthorized use.

To lock the VSI:

1. With the VSI switched on, press and hold the on/off key. After 1 second, the VSI should beep.

2. Release the on/off key.

3. Push the joystick to the full forward position until the VSI beeps.

4. Pull the joystick to the full rearward position until the VSI beeps.

5. Release the joystick. There should be a long beep.

6. The VSI is now locked.

To unlock the VSI:

1. Press the on/off key and power on the VSI. The maximum speed/profile indicator should ripple up and down.

2. Push the joystick to the full forward position until the VSI beeps.

3. Pull the joystick to the full rearward position until the VSI beeps.

4. Release the joystick. There should be a long beep.

5. The VSI is now unlocked.
NOTE: If the above procedure fails to either lock or unlock the VSI, contact your authorized Pride Provider.

Jazzy 1121 power chair won't charge when plug in to charge chair can move when you use joystick

you have either bad batteries or a bad charger or the charger might have come unplugged at the controller or power module. When you have the charger plugged in and you turn on the joystick the lights on the joystick should ripple to indicate the charger is plugged in. If you don't see this ripple then either the charger is bad or disconnected. Trace the charger cable from the rear of the chair (you have to remove the seat and shroud to do this) to the front module and make sure that the cable is plugged in. Hope this helps

I'm getting a 2 bar flash code and just replaced

If you can do this or have someone else do it for you. Switch the motor connections on the main computer of the chair. If the it goes to a 4 flash then you know that the left motor is bad. If it stays at two flash then either the controller or the joystick is bad.

Jazzy 1121 power chair won't go

If your chair is run by a Pilot VSI controller, the error code----3 red/4 yellow/ 1 green---indicates a controller failure. I am having controller problems of a different kind on a Jazzy 1107 and it appears that few shops will work on the controller. Replacement is very costly.
