On Samsung jet s8000 Incoming calls display unknown caller message, but call log shows ID

If you subscribe to caller ID service, information about each caller appears after the first or second ring. If you answer a call before the caller information appears on the screen, it will not be saved in the caller ID log. The caller ID log stores up to 50 entries. Each entry has up to 24 digits for the phone number and 15 characters for the name. If the telephone number has more that 15 digits, only the last 15 digits appear. If the name has more than 15 characters, only the first 15 characters are shown and saved in the caller ID log. Review a caller ID log entry Press CID when the phone is not in use. Scroll to browse through the caller ID log. When the desired entry appears: Press repeatedly to show different dialing options. Press 1 repeatedly if you need to add or remove 1 in front of the phone number. Press or to dial the displayed number. Call block
If you subscribe to caller ID service, you can set the telephone to block unknown calls and certain undesired calls. The call block list stores up to 20 entries. Block unknown calls Press MENU when the phone is not in use. Scroll to Call block, and then press SELECT. Scroll to Calls w/o num, and then press SELECT. Scroll to choose Not block or Block, and then press SELECT. Add a call block list entry 1. Press MENU when the phone is not in use. 2. Scroll to Call block, and then press SELECT. 3. Scroll to Block list, and then press SELECT. 4. Scroll to Add new entry, and then press SELECT. 5. Enter the number. • Use the dialing keys to enter the number (up to 30 digits). 6. Check that (your) send my caller ID is on in call settings.It sometimes cuts both ways. If that fails seek advice from your network provider.

Always happens. If there is no saved contact number there will show the number with 'Unknown' name. If you want to save the number with any name, then you might do that and after that if that number calls, it'll show the saved number.

Sometimes there are some incoming call that indicates only 'Unknown' with no number at all or '0000000000' that means callers have chose to hide ID or that is a VOIP call. Many operator permits to hide ID but not all.

Phone settings then Display you should find caller ID on or off.

Thanks for using FixYa. I think you have stored more than 100 Caller ID messages and hence the caller ID is not showing on Uniden Tru8888. In the following cases the caller ID will not be shown-

If you answer a call before the Caller ID message is received (for example, before the second ring), the Caller ID message will not appear.

When the call is received via a telephone company that does not offer Caller ID service, the caller’s phone number and name does not appear. (This includes some international calls.)

When the call is via a private branch exchange (PBX), the caller's phone number and name may not appear.

You may receive any one of the following messages:

When a private name is received; Private Name
When a private number is received; Private Number
When a unknown name is received; Unknown Name
When a unknown number is received; Unknown Number
When invalid data is received; Incomplete Data

The Caller ID list stores information for incoming calls - even unanswered calls. You can store up to 100 Caller ID messages and phonebook entries (including Speed Dials) for each handset and the base. You can view the Caller ID list through the handset or base during a call or when the phone is in standby mode.

Memory locations for Caller ID messages and Phonebook entries (including Speed Dials) are common, you can store up to all 100 entries for each handset and the base. Caller ID messages are not stored when you have 100 phonebook entries. When you have stored a total of 100 phonebook entries and Caller ID messages, the oldest Caller ID message is overwritten.

Try to copy the contacts to your phone memory.

READ THE MANUAL. It will tell you have to activate caller ID.

I just called my service provider and they were able to fix it. Just gotta wait 4hrs then turn it off, wait a few seconds then turn it on. heaps quick they knew what i was talking about straight away

Log into your TalkSwitch Management Software.
Go to Telephone Lines.
Under each incoming line make sure that Caller ID is checked.
Click File> Save
Hopefully this will fix it for you.
