Are this powered speakers connect to the same mains power socket as the computer.
If not you may be getting an earth loop which causes a humming sound.
Connect these speakers to the same power outlet, if you have not sufficient outlets use a power board.

I just bought logitech 5.1 surround sound speakers, but its making a buzzing noise how do i fix that please. could it be that my sound card is not good enough?

if you buy a 5.1 speaker you also need 5.1 sound card that supports the speakers. although it will still work with ordinary sound card but you can't actually use the feature of the speakers. the buzzing sound can cause by loose connections of the audio cable or audio connector. you can also hear a buzzing sound if you connect it at the wrong port. just remember the color codes
green - audio out (for speakers) red - microphone blue - line in or audio in black - digital audio

I did a format to my comp and i lost the drivers for my Inspire T 5900 do you know were to download them?

First, speakers don't have drivers (although one of the names used for a speaker is a driver.) Sound cards have drivers.

Inspire T5900 MF4045 Speakers Do Not Require Drivers/Applications to Work (Non-USB Speakers)

Creative speakers do not need to be installed at all as they can be plugged in to a device and ready to be used straight away.

Desktop speakers are designed to function with most sound cards without the use of any drivers. As such, there are no drivers necessary for the speakers to function as they were designed. The sound card or audio device which the speakers are plugged into may require drivers and/or software to work. Ensure that your speaker is connected to your sound card's audio out and that your sound card is configured properly to output sound. Please contact the sound card manufacturer for driver availability.

There are NO drivers for any desktop speakers, you only need drivers for your sound card. Your support page states this .....

My computor speakers will not work on my desktop but do work on my laptop

Hi
Check that your volume is up, check in control panel if Sound and audio devices have the sound card recognized properly.

if not , right click on my computer on the desktop , click properties , click on hardware and then select device manager , check if the sound card is installed or if there are yellow exclamation marks.

exclamation marks : right click them and select install and reboot this should force the recognition of the card, if that does not work get the drivers for your sound card and reinstall

No sound on new acer desktop x3200

Do you have a speaker to connected to the computer? You need to isolate the problem, follow the instructions below:

1. Connect the speaker into different computer to make sure that the speaker is working.
2. Check the volume settings by double-clicking the speaker icon on the System Tray (down by the clock) and make sure that the Mute box is not checked.
3. Check the sound properties of the problem computer:
* Go to the Control Panel > click on "Sounds" or "Sounds and Audio Devices"
* Go to Audio tab and check the sound recording and play-back
* Make sure that those two field are configured properly.

If the speaker worked on other computer and the sound properties is configured properly, then there could be a problem with the sound card that you have in your computer. Maybe updating or re-installing the sound card driver will do.

Hope these helps and have a great day!

BUZZING BUT NO VOICE

Unplug any speakers and microphone then reboot your computer. If the "no device" error is gone you can confirm the sound card is working in control panel/system/device manager. Right click on the sound device there, select properties. It should say the device is working properly. If there are any yellow warnings signs will need that info. If not then try connecting the speakers.

Sound card broken? No normal sound and a constant buzz...

Sounds like you tried everything possible. Based on what you have stated that you tried already I would agree with your diagnosis of a bad sound card.
If this was my Laptop I would be looking for a nice set of USB speakers and Microphone or a headset.
You can either keep the speakers turned down or you may be able to disable the onboard sound through a BIOS setting.

Or even better. Here is a USB sound card with speaker and microphone jacks. Pretty Cheap too.
