Hi my Samsung R530 will not turn on. I have the charger in and the battery is charged to 40% and the orange light is on to say that it is charging. I press the on button and nothing is happening, please help!

If thelaptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery dropsoff to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

Ryobi charger model # 140295003 has a red and yellow light. When charging red light is on what does the yellow light mean? Also how long should the battery be left in the charger?

Hi,

The yellow light means that there still is an amount of charge on the battery, meaning that it isn't fully discharged. The red light means that it is partly discharged and you can charge it up.

Samsung L830 camera. I try charging it but the light on the charger is orange and blinks and does not charge the battery, ( instead of being red and charging)

Try another SAMSUNG L830 Battery to see is it anything wrong with the battery or charger, and get a new one.

searched troubleshooting and found nothing there.

L830 wont charge

it is possibly the battery itself. i have a two batteries for this camera one of them has this problem orange flashing light and doesn't charge and the other works fine. You might need to get a new battery. Good luck

Hi, I had the same problem!

Had not used my camera for a while so I decided to but my battery on charge, once in the charger the orange light just kept flashing so I left this in "flashing" for a good hour or so.

I removed it and then replaced it, and it was still flashing so I decided to get a new battery (£40!).

I put the new battery on charge over night and it charged great, so I thought I would re-try charging my old one before I sent it away for recycle, and guess what the orange light stopped ON and it was charging!

Not sure what happened here, it was either charge the old for an hour with light flashing and then remove and leave over night and re-try OR insert a good battery to re-set the charger?

But I now have 2 good batteries.

Hi danielgardha,

I see that you are experiencing issues with your Laptop, you mentioned that the battery has %40 charge and that the adapter is plugged in on the laptop to the wall but still you get an orange light, but when you press the power button nothing happens on the machine.

Remove the battery and the adapter from the Laptop then press and hold down the power button, this is to drain power from the motherboard.
Once the power has been drained from the Laptop, connect the adapter back again but leave the battery out of the machine, then turn the system ON using the Adapter only.
If the Laptop turns ON using the adapter only then it is possible something is wrong with either the Battery or the motherboard of the Laptop.
Turn the Laptop OFF again then put the battery back in, then power the system again check if it will turn on with the battery and adapter in the Laptop.
If the Laptop does not turn ON when the battery is plugged in then you will need to have the system checked for a motherboard issue.
