What the error is teller you is that it's not seeing any cable like from a network for example being plug in.
One thing you should have done is check to see if your hard drive is spinning. No spinning, No windows.
Those errors you see is because under the bios, in the boot priority order, the floppy and the hard drive are not responding. Also, if you OK in taking apart your laptop, just check the connectors from the hard drive to the mainboard. Make sure they are push in all the way in. No pins are damage or bent. Those can cause the hard drive not to be detected by the bios.

Error message on dv 1000 pxe-mof and pxe-e61

The error PXE-E61: Media test failure usually means the hard disk has failed or the hard disk needs re-seating or the disk controller is faulty. First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.
Then the hard drive needs to be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer or laptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning computer/laptop again.

HI there,
The "Error" texts saying:
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-MOF: Exiting Intel Boot Agent.
Are completely normal. This simply states that there is no external cables plugged into the specialty inputs on your toshiba laptop.

The "operating system not found" is stating that your existing hard drive is either A) dead or B) been erased.

Try to re-install your operating system, if it finds no hard drive, you'll need a new one!

the system is trying to boot to the Network adapter. If the system boots into Windows after the error, then all you need to do is change the boot sequence in the BIOS (Resetting defaults will likely fix this)
If system is not booting into windows after the error then you may have a hard drive fault

This is showing because the computer is not seeing the hard drive that contains the operating system. In some cases this is because the hard drive has come dislodged from the interface on the motherboard. Dells are good for this because the hard drive slides into the side of some models. Try reseating the hard drive and reboot. Your worse case scenario is that your hard drive has failed. The reason you are seeing the PXE-MOF etc. is that the laptop ias now looking for a network hard drive to boot from. It can't find the intenal hard drive so it is searching for other means to boot.

The PXE-E61 error is caused by either a faulty disk controller or most likely a faulty hard disk. Because the Lenovo is new I suggest you return it to the supplier to get it fixed under warranty.
Do not try to fix it yourself because you can void your warranty.

Error Message: PXE-E61 Media Test Failure Check Cable

Not always the Hard drive, boot into the bios setup utility and de-select network bootfrom the boot options. If it tries to network boot first you will always get that failure.
