You may just have a speaker or speaker wire loose/failing. Swap them to isolate to an internal or external failure.

There isn't enough adjustment in the setup to make any channel completely silent.

Use test tones to diagnose it. Page 36.

Sound coming through right headphone, but not through left. Sound also not coming through left speaker. Help?

are you adjusting sound through the windows controller or the application you're playing music through? there are a few things that could affect that, there's also the actual sound setup where you can change your setup i.e. surround sound, single speaker, headphones etc

The sound only comes from the right side on my acer tablet

See if there's a balance control. If the slider is all the way to the right, that could explain the problem. Otherwise, since this happens with two sets of speakers, the problem is either a bad receptacle, or sound card, or, the connection between them.

I found this Windows 7 site on how to adjust the balance.. it seems to be legit: no complaints from Avast! A/V

My Lexus 2004 RX330 only has sound from the passenger speakers. Balance to left produces no sound. Balance to right produces sound on passenger side only.

Just check the wire..it is clear a wiring issue ..It is either from the plugs or the wire itself has a break on ..To be sure just attach a speaker to the left out and see if it has signal ..than re-wire it just to be sure..If you insert another control speaker or anything ..just to see if it has signal ..and nothing gets on the left ..check the settings ..and reset the player ..If this will not make a stereo out ..than the left channel has an issue and need to be checked..Some has separated amplifiers patch and can go bad in just a channel ..but ..usually it is just the wire.. (If you have an amplifier connected ..check it too for settings ..and see if the balance is not all to the right ..)

Sound not coming from left side surround sound speaker or my right side front speaker

it is highly likely that you're TV is outputting mono sound, hence the left channel only. check your physical connections to the TV and the balance / channel volume on the television as well.
