I have a nokia 6131. Have had it for 2 years without any problems and it had good talk time so no indication of bad battery. I got a 'charger not supported' message when I tried to charge it recently. My husband uses the same charger to charge his nokia and had no message error. After the 'charger not supported' message the phone cut out on a call and then I got a 'test mode' message. The phone switched off. It woulod not charge. We cleaned the terminals and got it to charge again, but now it will not switcth on. I can see no reason why this has happened as I take great care of the phone. Can anyone please help me? I need to get numbers out of this phone urgently.

You didn't indicate the make and model number of your tool, but almost universally, all lights flashing on a charger indicate a bad battery. If the system in the charger detects that the battery has a short, bad cell or anything else wrong, it will not attempt to charge the battery.
Hi, Either the charger is bad, or the jack where the charger plugs in is bad... See if you can find a friend that has the same phone so you and try their charger...if another charger does not work then the phone will need to be repaired...
try using other chargers since you said you're sure its not the battery thats faulty. what particularly is happening when you said "problem with charging"? its either gonna be the battery (try using other batteries or the that battery you have on another nokia 3110), or the charger or the unit itself. we have to identify first what is causing it, please post back with more info!
Nokia phones are notorious for slow response time when recharging from a completely dead battery.
Make sure there is good contact between all of the contact points.
plug in charger.
wait for at least 5 min.
If recharge symbol does not appear in window, then one of these things has occurred: 1. Phone has internal damage or water damage. no way to fix without nokia service.
2. Battery is dead. Try a new battery
3. Charger is bad. Try a new/different car charger or home charger.
These chargers are very inexpensive on Craigs List, try to solve it before throwing away the phone. Good luck, A former Nokia employee.
I really don't have any idea as to what you're talking about here other than a battery and maybe a charger. Seems as if you're saying that you have a 12 volt 1.5 amp automatic battery charger connected to a 12 volt, 8.5amph battery but the red light on your charger is blinking. The blinking red light indicates that the charger is not seeing a proper connection such as crossed polarity connection or simply a poor connection. You say that the battery voltage has dropped from 12.5 volts to 9.1 volts with the charger connected. If this is the case, the battery is badly discharged and the charger is not charging the battery for some reason. The charger may be bad but check the connections to make certain they are correct and good. If they are, I'd replace the charger.
Going further in my investigations, I have realized that the problem did not occur when my phone remained plugged via the charger. That made me think that there might be a problem due to a weak battery. I have bought a new battery BL-4C two days ago and the problem ..... disappeared !!!
