I signed up with a person called moseslive on the 21st July and after exhausting all other avenues decided I need to download a driver. However I was at work trying the monitor on my work computer and I did not have the internet connected at home. Mow I have the internet and can download the driver I can't find the site. Can you please help.

These are dead pixels which is a common thing in LCD monitors. Basically these pixels stop giving out light, or incorrect light and they are useless. You need to get a new monitor if you can't live with them. Have fun :)
This problem often occurs in samsung SyncMaster LCD monitors.
The
solution is open your look for the LCD monitor power supply module
(which have PCB connector to the AC power), on that board look for
capacitors, now look for broken one which upper part is bloated, like
the image below: If you find a damaged capacitor as in the picture then you should replace it with the same value.
right click on your desktop.go to properties.then go to the screen saver tab.click on screen saver tab.then you will see call monitor power.click on the power icon.go to the settings forr home/office desk power scheme.there you will see a setting called (turn off monitor)change that.let me know if it did work hay.
1. please check by pressing num lock or caps lock key to verify that your machine is booting up, if yes then check the cable and if after changing the display cable it doesnt show up anything, it means you have a faulty unit
2. if numlock/caps lock key doesnt work, then your machine is not booting up, please check for loose ram etc.

if there are too many black spots already then that means there are lots of dead pixels on your lcd and it cannot be repaired anymore. that will continue to add more dead pixels and eventually damage the device.
Dear The problem is main board inside monitor which is needed to be
changed with new one. So I suggest you to take monitor to the nearest
samsung's service center. Best regards
