SOURCE: every time i plug in my sony camera to the usb

Hi,

The "USB mode" and "Connecting to Mass Storage" message will get displayed when the Camera is connected to the Computer and is recognized by the Computer as a Mass Storage device. This is not an error message and is a normal operation.
You can change the Mass Storage settings in the Camera (depends on the model) The USB Select or USB Connect option in the Camera can be changed to PTP, Mass Storage or PictBridge mode. Set the option in the Camera to PTP and connect it to the Computer and check if the Computer is recognizing the connection. Once the computer is recognized, it appear as a removable Drive.
You can transfer the images from the Camera to the Computer from the Removable Drive by copying and pasting.

Thanks for contacting FixYa.

SOURCE: we are having issues uploading

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Pioneer Model: DEH-P8400BH, USB port goes inactive

It's possible that the head unit's USB port or the wireless phone charger is no longer functioning properly. You can try the following to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Disconnect the wireless phone charger and test the USB port by connecting a different device. If the other device doesn't charge, the USB port may be faulty.
  2. If the USB port is working, try a different wireless phone charger. If it still doesn't work, the issue could be with the wireless phone charger.
  3. Check the car's fuse box for a blown fuse related to the head unit.
  4. If all else fails, contact Pioneer or a professional car audio installer for further assistance.

The port to which the printer is connected is not supported. Check the port

I'm assuming you are using a USB connection, not a Ethernet connection.

Try a different USB port (preferably in the REAR of the computer, not the front). It's not unusual to have 1 or 2 poorly-performing (low power) ports on a PC; some printers don't like those.

If you have a really old computer, it may have ancient USB type "1" (slow) ports instead of the newer 2.0 or 3.0 USB type. Some printers don't like old USB 1 ports, but it is not supposed to matter.

If all else fails, try another USB cord, or a shorter one. Some printers don't work well with cords longer than 4 feet, and USB cords can go bad.

Or, try the printer on another computer. If the same USB cord works fine there, YOUR computer has the problem (probably a USB port or USB driver issue).

Are you having issues with other USB devices? If so, it may be a Windows driver issue.

Good luck. If no help, post your exact printer model # here, or try contacting Lexmark.com support

Gigabyte GM-M5050 not connecting to laptop.

it is only a USB mouse and works on any pC really.
w7 needs no special driver for this mouse ever,
it uses PnP, plug and play and the internet must be active and working for PnP to work is it? not told that.
your failed computer is all messed up with w7 even infected
monza is w7, 2012 made (year)
the usb ports are first not mouse the device manager must show all USB ports have good drivers, and you test them using a USB stick of thumbdrive memory to be sure they do work, and if does good
or use USB keyboard to test usb ports all
if all that works then the mouse is tried. and internet connected and the mouse to when connected must show up in device manager.
and actually function/

IMac deactivates USB port when I connect my Nikon P300

Try connecting the camera directly to the computer, without going through a hub. If that doesn't work, then buy a card reader.

Help! XP stopped recognizing my external hard drive. It has worked fine for two years and then suddenly: My Laptop no longer "dings" when I plug in the external hard drive. There are no unknown...

No question is silly dear, problems are there and we are in this site to help.

Yes, you mentioned that the said device works fine with your desktop, then it is probably not the problem with your device. You have also said that your tried formatting the os. Good.

Hope your pc, laptop and the memory device are disinfected with a good, licensed and updated antivirus.

Check, if Universal Serial Bus Controllers (corresponding to the nos. of total usb port present in the machine) are present and enabled both in the device manager and the bios as well and set to Hi-Speed if it is Full-Speed.

Well, have you tried formatting the memory stick/device? Format it and see if it works.

Next, please change the usb connectivity cable using/attached to the device and see.

Another thing while connecting an external storage device like ext-hdd. The external usb storage devices that gets connected with a usb cable, in some rare cases needs to be connected as a usb-master or usb-slave [you can see many external usb drives comes with a splitted or dual usb port connector cable, this is either for connecting two usb device or to connect as master when used as a single drive], therefore use such cable to connect and use alternated ports, and see which works.

Now, if all above fails, it then might be the problem with your external drive, i guess.

Best to seek help of your system admin/vendor.

My drive has been working perfectly with my PC for a couple of years, it's about 75% full. Last night I attached it to a different laptop and it worked fine there. When I reconnected to the original PC...

Try to scan your Had Drive with updated anti virus it may attacked by a virus. Connect it again where the hard drive is working fine. I have some clarification if you disconnect it properly in the computer where you have the time you use it. Because if you disconnect it in your PC without proper procedure it may possible cause of corrupting you files inside you hard drive or internal damage to your hard drive.

IPAQ 1950 suddenly will not connect to PC to allow sync

Same problem, on four computers with two iPAQ 1950's. I installed ActiveSync 4.5, and all works fine now. This link will get you to AS 4.5:

This SHOULD work for all PDAs, but I have only used it for the 1950.
