Hi,

Yes, it does.

DV3 is actually DVB meaning Digital Video Broadcasting. The stylised design of the DVB symbol makes it look more like DV3. If the TV has the DVB symbol, then it has a digital tuner and can receive digital channels, i.e. Freeview.

If you need assistance with tuning the Freeview channels or have further questions, please let me know the model number of the TV. This can be found on a label on the back of the TV.

Regards,
BElectric

SOURCE: How do I retune my Samsung DNLE DV3 tv for freeview?

I have a Samsung DV3 and appear to have solved the problem more by luck than judgement! I turned on, pressed the button marked D.Menu (red lettering around the middle of my remote control). I then moved down one slot to the picture of the sat dish on the screen then across to auto store and across again. I then pressed ok to start and it WORKED!!!

Good luck it worked for me!!!

My Sony DV3 has suddenly stopped providing any signal to the TV. I can switch it on and off but otherwise it is lifeless

Could be old age but have you even tried to unplug the unit for while and plug it back to see if it will reboot itself?

I have a Pioneer DVR5100H which was set up to record Analogue programs - can I change the set up to accept digital programs. I have tried auto setup but it doesn't pick up any programs?

Hi,

You can't record digital programmes with this recorder unless it is connected to a digital tuner, e.g. a Freeview box or Sky digibox. This recorder has a built in analogue tuner which allows it to record analogue transmissions. Recorders which can record digital transmissions have a built-in digital tuner and usually have a DVB logo (actually looks more like DV3) on the front.

If you want to record digital programmes using this recorder, you need to connect it to a Freeview or Sky digibox, preferably with a scart cable. It is not sufficient to connect it to a TV with a digital tuner or built in Freeview as the player does NOT record directly from the TV, it must be connected directly to the transmission source. A basic stand-alone digital tuner (Freeview box) can be bought for as little as £10-15.
