Once you make your BlackBerry discoverable, then put the Plantronics
Voyager 510 into pairing mode by holding the call control and volume up
buttons at the same time until
the headset flashes red and blue. Here is the link below for the 510
If the units were just purchased I would suggest having them replaced by
Plantronics. The Voyager Pro+ has a one year warranty through
Plantronics. The link below is for Plantronics online replacement form.
Unfortunately, the Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth headset does
not have a replaceable battery, it is "hard wired". However the 510
headset does have a one year warranty, so Plantronics will replace it
within the warranty period. If it's out of warranty, you can buy a
replacement if you'd like or buy the newer version which is the
Plantronics Voyager Pro+, which is just a newer, slimmer model and it
also has newer technology (for the same cost). Here are the links
Hearing a Plantronics Voyager 510 headset through a computer:
To use a Plantronics Voyager 510 headset through your computer, you
either need a USB Bluetooth adapter or you must have Bluetooth built in
to your computer. Once the Voyager 510 headset is "connected" to your
pc (by one of the mentioned ways), you may need to go into the control
panel on the computer or the specific software program being used to set
the Plantronics Voyager 510 headset as the "default device". Keep in
mind that the headset has to be powered on and to also have to activate
the headset to connect to the Bluetooth adapter or computer.
Turn on Bluetooth within your phone. Put phone into pairing mode.Put headset into pairing mode - With headset on, press and hold call button and the volume up simultaneously until the headset begins to flash red and blue.
Pick the headset for Plantronics when prompted. Enter "0000" (four zeros)

Here is a solution that might work on your HTC Thundermug. The User's Guide indicates "activate bluetooth pairing mode by pressing the Power button". How to Pair the Plantronics 510 Headset Good Luck from Headsets Direct!
It sounds like the wireless link between the phone and headset has been
compromised. Remember that newer phones are like small computers, so
they may become
corrupt over time and you may need to reset them every so often. Simply
turn your phone off and remove again the battery for a few seconds,
then replace the battery and turn it back on again. Purge from the phone
any pairing information for your Voyager Pro
headset and pair it again to your phone, following carefully the
instructions on the link below for the Plantronics Voyager Pro.
my plantronics 510 voyager did the same thing. try putting the earpiece back on to the main bluetooth and wrapping a small rubber band BETWEEN THE TWO. the object is to put some opposing pressure on the earpiece to force it to stay on. it'll work at least till you get anoter earpiece
