DV-585K (PIONEER), My player is not turning on. I've already check the cord, fuse and the switch and they are all good. What else could I check or is there any parts that needs to be replace if problem is lik in my players' case?

If your Pioneer SW-8 subwoofer is not powering on, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check the power cord: Make sure that the power cord is securely plugged into both the subwoofer and a working electrical outlet. If the power cord is loose, try unplugging it and plugging it back in.
2. Check the power switch: Make sure that the power switch on the back of the subwoofer is turned on.
3. Check the circuit breaker: The subwoofer may have a circuit breaker that has tripped. Check the circuit breaker on the back of the subwoofer to see if it has tripped. If it has, reset it by pushing the button back in.
4. Check the fuse: The subwoofer may have a blown fuse. Check the fuse on the back of the subwoofer to see if it has blown. If it has, replace it with a fuse of the same rating.
5. Check the auto power function: The subwoofer may have an auto power function that turns it off after a certain amount of time if there is no audio signal. Make sure that the audio source is playing and sending a signal to the subwoofer.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, there may be a problem with the amplifier or power supply in the subwoofer.

There are 2 lasers in it. One for dvd and one for cd. The dvd lens is overheating and causing it to shut down. Better to get a refund and buy a new one. They are very cheap at WalMart.

TRY USING THE RED AS THE YELLOW AND THE YELLOW AS RED, THIS SHOULD MAKE ONE SIDE OF THE AUDIO NOT WORK AND THE VIDEO WORK. REPEAT WITH THE YELLOW/ WHITE. TRY DIFFERENT CORDS. TRY IT ON A DIFFERENT SYSTEM. YOU MAY HAVE KNOCKED SOMETHING LOOSE INSIDE IT.

Mine did the same a couple of days ago, I have taken in for repair, will get back once with details soon.

Search for file YJA8703A almost in the bottom under DV-310.
Download and burn on CD with nero,make sure the CD is being closed after burning.
The just mount the CD in your DVD player and press play.
#1. Press upgrade.
#2. Wait,don´t touch anything now.
#3. The tray will open after about 5-10 sec,take out CD.
#4. Player will uppgrade under about 1-2 minut,then the tray will close by it self,and the player says "CLEAR".
#5. And now here is the secret. When player says "CLEAR" ,push and HOLD the "enter button on THE PLAYER until it turns off(about 5 sec).
And there you go,standing infront of your brand new Multi regional Pioneer DV-310.

At least this worked great for me.

A lot of times you can buy replacement fuses at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace. Check the fuse. If it is blown, it will be obvious and make sure that the set is unplugged before replacing it. If it blows again, or if it is not blown, your problem is probably in the 'X' volt regulator and you will need professional help with the repairs.
