SOURCE: Samsung 940BX LCD monitor 9

The IPboard part no. BN44-0012A is bad. We had to replace 5 monitors with the same problem. If under warranty call 1-800-Samsung for repair or exchange.

ProView 19" Flat Screen Monitor comes on with

Hello,

The dark or black picture is caused by a failure in the back light power supply. The problem can be corrected by replacing a few parts called capacitors on the board. Replacing them will require a little soldering but anyone can do it. Here is a link to a page that shows what needs to be replaced.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

The moniter blacked out, blue light is saying the moniter is still on, but screen looks like there is no power. When you turn on the moniter, the screen shows up for a few seconds, then blacks out again!...

Unplug power. Unplug VGA cable. Remove back of monitor. (four small Philips headed screws along the bottom rear. Remove screws attaching Monitor to it's base. Carefully, lean the screen away from back of case. Gently unplug 25 pin cable from the screen.
Connect AC power.
Screen should power on Gray to White. Ble light comes on Blue.Flickers then changes to Amber.
Reconnect VGA cable. Monitor should work.
Close up the monitor in reverse order to opening it.
If these steps don't solve your monitor, consider replacing as cost of repairs may shock you.

Monitor starts, about three minutes no picture but

Hello,

It is the picture picture board on your monitor that is malfunctioning, since the power led or button is on, but the display screen goes blank after few seconds, it means the picture board of your monitor has developed fault.

The best thing for you to do now is to take the monitor to a local repairer within your vicinity or any service center to help with the replacement of the picture board because the fault is not something you can fix yourself, in order not to complicate issues.

Take care.

Proview 19# model PL926Wbi

thers Sounds like the problem I'm having /had exactly. When I opened the case I found that like others the 470mf capacitors on the power board had gone bad. (See the post from Delphiuser)

The capacitors are probably from a Chinese company called Xandu and I'm currently looking for a replacement capacitor to fit the circuit. Its a 470 mf cap with a 25 volt rating .

Proview PL926Wbi LCD Monitor White Screen

I found in the refuse, a Gateway FPD 1520, 15" LCD monitor that started off losing the screen half-way, losing sync, etc. The "mechanical agitation" method was applied and remedied the problem. Awhile ago, it went to a white screen (or, as it was back in the day- a clean raster). I opened it up and found that the ribbon cable on the left was loose. I applied a series of layers of adhesive-backed foam (the kind you stop drafts in your home with) until it was greater than the height of the metal enclosure to put pressure on the unbehaving connector. It does seem a bit loose and this will keep it snug. Maybe hot glue or other adhesive if it wiggles loose again. Seems to have solved the problem at the moment.
