My ps3 hard drive is corrupted how do I fix it

You should try formating your hard disk. And if you still get the same message and you dont have warranty you should change the hard drive. But maybe is because you didnt update the firmware but maybe is not that.

Had the same problem. I removed my HDD and reformatted it with my PC
using a SATA 2.5 USB hard disk caddy (you can get one at Best Buy). Had to do it 's twice but it worked so far.

there are bad sectors on the hard drive which is why it keeps restoring cause it can never read all the info properly.
My suggestion would be to get a new 80 gig hard drive, put it in there, reformat it and youll have a great working system.

NO, there is NOTHING you can do. The drive is encrypted by the PS3.
The ONLY thing you can do is replace the hard drive with a new drive and keep the old drive somewhere safe until the PS3 is hacked.
