I m not getting the vga driver for dell optiplex gx270 and sound driver for same system.

Go to the dell website, select your country, select technical support, select drivers and software and enter the service tag number that's located on the top of your PC case, near the back. it will let you download any driver you need for your system

I erased the VGA and Ethernet controllers. What do I do

go to support.dell.com enter your service tag
and download /intsall the video / network drivers for the optiplex gx270 and thats hould solve your problem

Not to worry.Just simply means there not approved my microsoft,just hit continue anyway the drivers will install.You should be ok.

Vga and sound error

Go to the Dell website, www.dell.com, click on the support for my system link, input your Dell Service tag# and then download the vista drivers for your sound & vga. Install & you should be all set. Hope this helps.

above are the direct links for all the drivers to download. Ensure you choose the correct operating system.

I don't know if there are any Win 7 or Vista drivers, i think there only maybe XP drivers? You will have to look to see... if there are ONLY XP drivers, you maybe able to get them to work, by using compatibility mode.
