My fan in laptop is completely stop working.how i suppose to fix it?

YOu didn't post the model number but you can order a new fan from the Toshiba website or possibly find one on Ebay and open the computer up and replace the non working fan. If you try running the laptop with out that fan it will over heat and you will burn your CPU out.

My compaq laptop shut off by itself,IM NOTICING the cooling fan is not working

if the cooling fan is not working then the laptop will shut off due to heat issues. Than could just be clogged stopping it from spinning. I have seen the cooling fans go bad. The fan will def need to be repaired or replaced if not working. You can probably find one for it and replace it yourself if you have any technical experience

When I turn my laptop on, a message says:"Turn off computer, check fan".

Best solution I would recommend would be to take a can of air to it. Give your laptop a good once or twice over.

Cleans it good :)

Our fridge's top compartment is not cooling, seems fan is not working properly, can i replace it with other type of fan?

You need to determine if the fan is defective and replace with the correct one if it is or see if there is frost buildup in the air ducts stopping air transfer.

Overheats, shuts off, and operates extremeley slowly.

The overheating problem can be caused by a faulty fan (spinning slow) or the fan and heat-sink assembly is clogged with dust. Check the vents and fan/heatsink assembly and remove the dust. Check if the fan spins freely, replace if faulty.
To provide further cooling, there are fan assisted cooling pads that are placed under the laptop that provide additional fan assisted air cooling to inlet vents on the bottom of laptops.

Cooling system fails

There are two fans in this unit. It was my secondary fan that had failed. The primary fan is the one on the bottom that you can see, and the secondary is in the back near the usb connectors.

You'll need to determine which one has failed. I was able to diagnosis mine by setting the power management features to Level 2 from 4 on the cpu, and the fan setting to "battery optimized."

In that particular configuration, I could hear a fan turning on, but it wouldn't run long enough to trip the error message. I was then able to use the machine in a very slow speed waiting for the replacement fan to arrive. The fan was about $35, but because of it being buried so far into the internals, it took me three hours to disassemble, replace, and reassemble the machine.

I used the pictures here: http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/ToshibaA45/Satellite-A45-remove-hinges-1.htm as a guide for assembly and disassembly.

I am having VGN-CS190.Hearing fan noise since sometime. I bought this in the last year. Around 10 months old. Please let me know why this noise is coming. I am using Windows Vista.

I might be posting this message too late but if you're under warranty I would call Sony and have them replace the fan/heat sink unit. The guy that came out and replaced mine (model VGN-CS190) said that Sony was aware of the fan problems. Either the fans they're selling in these things are bad, or the design of the lap top doesn't allow adequate air flow and the fans are running till they fall off the bearings.

Fan stopped

If the fan has stopped, then the processor will overheat. Most vendors have protection so that a non-working fan is detected and the unit will not power up with detecting its rotation. Seems like a repair shop job I'm afraid.
