This player can store 20 preset FM stations. Go to this Phillips WEB site to download a user manual. It will give instruction on how to tune your player to FM stations.

From the main menu, select "FM radio" to enter
radio mode.
The earphones cable acts as FM antenna.

Download Drivers and softwares from there.

The Go Gear SA52XX series is only capable of recording FM in Europe - the US versions, even though they have the same manual, will not allow FM Recording. I haven't heard that won't do voice recordings, but it doesn't surprise me - update the firmware - the directions are on Philips website. If it still won't record voice recordings, get a different mp3 player, because this is not the one.

The Philips SA6045, SA5125, and a few others will do FM and voice recordings. Ironically, the newer Philips GoGear's will not.

Philips printed the same manual for the US and European models - the FM Radio is only available in the European models.

1. Go to www.philips.com/support
2. Enter your country/language
3. Enter your model # hdd1830
4. Click on the link for your exact model # (the one w/o the "B" in it)
5. Click on user manuals
The charger is no longer available from the manufacturer. You will have to search eBay.
