I am trying to connect my motorola sbv5220 to my computer and use it's wifi. The computer is asking me for the PIN number of my router but I can't find it. Where is it?

The pin number for your router should be located on the bottom of it, on a sticker, along with serial number.

The wps pin method is bit tricky however it will help you get the work done. you need few details upfront in order to connect brother printer with wifi using wps pin method. details such as -

What i have to do if its asking for a PIN Number when connecting a Belkin...
Hi Friends,

When you are connecting the Belkin router in Wireless,if it asks for PIN Number then please follow the below mentioned standard steps,

Step 1:Connect the belkin router to any one of your computer with an enternet cable.

Step 2:Open Internet Explorer and type 192.168.2.1 and click on Enter button in the keyboard.

Step 3:Now you will be able to see the belkin router page

Step 4:On your left side click on Wifi Protected Setup (WPS),now it will ask for password leave it blank and click on Submit.

Stpe 5:Now Change the WPS (Wifi Protected setup) to disable and click on Apply Changes.

Step 6:Now Try to connect the Wireless Networks in your wireless computer,it wont ask for PIN Number.

The above mentioned steps are the standard steps for the this problem.This is done because by default the belkin router's will be enabled with 2 security features so we have to disable any one of this feature.If you disable this then you wont have any Problem in the belkin router.

Since your router does not have a WPS button, it is likely it uses a 9-digit pin number for WPS. The pin number should be on a sticker on the router or maybe in the router's setup guide.

Connect to it directly using a LAN cat 5 cable, not wireless.
Log in as admin to the router, and change the wireless password to something new.
Disconnect the cable then try connecting from each laptop by wireless, when it prompts for password enter the new password.

You can find your WiFi security info by logging into the router

You will have to be connected with an Ethernet cable or use a computer that is already connected to your WiFi network.

1.Open a web browser and enter 192.168.1.1
2.You will get a login page for your router. Usually the login information is as follows:
admin/admin
3.Once you have logged in you want to locate the wireless menu on the page.
4.Here you will find the pin for your wifi network

Hi,

To connect to the network in your laptop without entering a PIN code, please follow these steps.

1. Connect the computer to the router with an ethernet cable in one of the grey slot in the router.

2. Open up internet explorer and clear the address bar and type in http://192.168.2.1 and hit enter.

3. You will find a belkin router setup page, In the left hand side under the heading Wireless click on Wifi Protected Setup

4. When it asks you for a password leave it blank and click on submit.

5. There change Wifi Protected setup to disabled and click on apply changes.

6. Then in your laptop connect to the wireless network without any PIN number.

Internet radio will not connect to recognized WiFi
Try going into your router configuration menu, and opening the network so that any device can connect. Disable any passwords and all of that, and see if it will connect in that way. This doesnt sound like a problem with the Stiletto, rather a problem with the configuration of the wireless router. Maybe call the tech support for the router also.

Three options here:

The first time you connect using most cable services, you may be required to register your computer to their service, which includes entering a password they give you. That may have interfered with your first attempt by not allowing your router to connect to the internet to obtain a public IP address form the cable modem.

If it's not the cable company's fault, the user manual that came with the router will also have the default user name and password listed there. Try using that in case it has been reset somehow.


If you still cannot get past the username/password prompt, then you can simply log into the router as before, and choosing to reset the router back to factory settings. Then you will be able to set it up again from the beginning.
