Question about Bunn BT10B Coffee Maker

Open Question

I have a Bt10-b with a failed thermal fuse. I could guess at what it is and get one locally, but I am really frustrated to not be able to identify the OEM part. I believe the marking on the fuse is "141 C D139PPTX". I get no hits on the web. can you help?

Amana Model HKR10A. heat doesn't work. Replaced the heat element. Still no heat. Fan comes on but blows cold air. Voltage to unit seems ok. What else can it be? A/C works fine.

I would guess two possible problems - dirty thermostat contacts and many appliances are also fitted with a thermal fuse or other type of thermal cutout which might have failed.

My pill reads L917 and I need to identify it

No one can tell you correctly what the pill is, it is because nobody want to take the responsibility of the guess. In the market, there may be some other pills with similar code on the pill, you can imagine how serious it is if you take the pill wrongly. I would suggest you to go to your local pharmacy to identify it if you really want to.

What might stop electrical slow?

Hello, Vickie
Your machine does not turn on AND you have (or had) calcium deposits in the reservoir valve so, my best guess is:
First the calcium deposits blocked water from going into the heating unit.
Then, the heating unit over-heated and the thermal fuse opened to prevent a fire.
So, you may have to replace the thermal fuse.

This will require disassembly to access the water heating module, locating of the thermal fuse, reading the fuse information from the spent fuse, locating a source for a replacement fuse...etc. Thermal fuses cost about $2 at electronic supply outlets.

Kitchen aid proline coffee make not getting any power. have checked outlets.

There are (I think) three possibilities:
1. There is a fuse inside the unit.
2. The water heating element has a thermal fuse that has failed as a result of overheating (no water in the reservoir at some point)
3. The control panel has failed or the low-voltage power supply that powers the control panel has failed.

My guess would be #2. This is a readily available part (electronic supply stores) but not easy to replace (unit disassembly can be quite challenging). If you're handy, give it a try. The thermal fuse will be wired directly across the terminals of the water heating element. It will have very low resistance (~1 ohm) if it is good.

Replaced thermal fuse in kitchenaid keys777 eqo dryer if started working then it has blown another thermal fuse .had a spare fuse .what could cause fuses to fail, thanks

There is a high limit and low limit switch also in the circuit. If either of these fail, it can blow the fuse. Also, if your heating element is shorting to ground, it will blow the thermal fuse. It is standard practice to replace the high and low limit switches with the thermal fuse.

I have a Kenmore elite 62062100 that does not have power. No light in dryer and will not start .I checked the socket and there is power there. What can be the problem ?

Chances are that the thermal fuse has failed. It is located on the back lower part of the dryer near the air duct. Unplug the dryer first, then remove the back. See this link to identify the part. The fuse may have failed due to lint build up so while you're back there, clean everything up.

My dryer heater is not working. How do I tell if it is the thermal fuse, the thermostat or the thermal cut-off (looks like the cut-off includes the thermostat and some other part)? The heater coil looks...

the element is just like a light bulb, if the coil is not broken then it is good, the 2 thermostats mounted on the side of the outer can can fail and cause no heat.
to check these, you need a meter to check continuity. if you dont have one, take both the thermostats to your local parts house and they can check them for you and also sell you a new thermostat kit with both in it.
usually about 40-50 bucks.
i would guess these have failed.

Maytag dryer ... where is the thermal reset button???

thermal cutouts, thermal fuses, thermal resets, are not resettable, they are a one shot, last ditch, protective device.
fail once - wear,
fail twice - you must clean the lint out of the fan, and exhaust duct before the house burns down.
the thermal reset is a device like this 2ce0a6a.jpg, or this61220a5.jpg fitted on the fan housing.
conduct good,
open circuit fail and replace.
the local parts guy has them, there are only a few that fit multiple models it does not matter what brand is on the packet

dirty
4a10230.jpg clean
0787faf.jpg dont clean
a869f54.jpg the exhaust ducting must be clean to the eternal wall vent
