I was just given a 36-inch RCA Gemstar Guideplus Gold TV. I do not have cable and am unable to tell if it is digital or not. I've been told it is less than 6 years old. It is a tube TV.

Most of the RCA GuidePlus Gold gemstar TVs worked with analog TV signals (NTSC) only. The Guide+ information was only broadcast in NTSC signals and is no longer being provided. If you can check the date of manufacture of the TV, you can use the size to check if it had an ATSC tuner added if it was made for the US market. 37"+ TVs had to have a digital tuner in second half of 2005. 25" TVs needed to have the ATSC tuner after March, 2006. The next year all TVs had to have a digital tuner.

are they horizontal or diagonal? if they are diagonal it could be you're brightness is turned up too high. try turning it down.

to enter the codes u must use yhe orig. remote

It does not have an HD or ATSC tuner. But it does have HD resolution inputs - ie HDMI and component video (RGB) so effectively it is HD

with factory tv remote, press........menu, 7, 1, go-back, tv.......... then press....... menu, 7, 1, go-back, who-input.......enjoy!

go to menu go to gemstar setup, set your zip code to 99999 and then exit. this solves 90%

how do I hook up a wii to my 27 inch rca guidegold gemstar plus. I use the inputs on the rear and can't get the tv to recognize them.

one of the button switch is still working or stock up, you need to replace all the switch to besure.

i need to program my remote for my tv with this gemstar universal remote control "crk76te1 . how do i do this ? its for a zenth televison . thanks
