LCD Display How to replace the LCD display

Many occasions LCD on camera display never fails but back light fails unless physical damage to LCD screen. Hold a torch to display when camera is on you will see faint(black and white) image means LCD is ok but back light is failed, it's replaceable but needs little skill to replace. Or replace full Screen with backlight. This is easy. Just remove back cover, remove display by loosening flex lock, put back new display carefully lock it holding flex with one finger. Please do not touch display flex contacts.

The back light is typically an integral part of the LCD display, so you may have to replace the entire display. On some displays, the touchscreen and back light connections are separate from the display and on some displays, these connections are soldered to the LCD display. Trying to take apart the LCD display just to change the back light can result in breaking the LCD display. You are better off just replacing the entire display if you can find it for that model.

The line on the display is generally caused by a bad LCD inverter cable and generally requires a replacement of the LCD.
Connect an external monitor to the laptop , Tap Fn+ F8 key to toggle the display to the external display. If the picture on the external display looks good you need to replace the LCD kit
If the display also has a line , the problem is with the motherboard

It is the problem in LCD display.Most probably Display is not usable any more.Anyway Contact the service centre and check there is any problem in LCD connection if not replace LCD display

If you just replaced the systemboard, the video chip is not likely to be the problem. I would say to check the cable connections and the actual lcd, but you said that the external monitor is not working either and that is not dependent upon the cable or lcd. I would say that your systemboard is probably DOA, but just to be sure do you have another laptop to test it on?

More than likely you will need to reseat the lcd connector.

Worst case is you need to replace the lcd screen.

A new LCD screen runs about 15 dollars shipped from ebay.

The W580i LCD is easy, easy to replace. Probably one of the easiest I have ever done.

Parts that can be involved are LCD display, display ribbon cable, or in worst case graphic chipset on motherboard.
If the problem goes on and off when pressing LCD display enclosure, then it can just be the display cable or the LCD itself.
The computer must be taken apart to find out what is causing the problem. First you try adjusting display ribbon cable, then, if moving cable problem goes away, but you cannot fix it, you replace the cable that costs few dollars. If this still does not work you replace the display.
Cheapest replacement can usually be found on Ebay.

Yes you can do that by trying to set the sesolution settting.
Step for setting up screen resolution
1.Click start-->Settings-->Conteol Panel-->Display
2.Under Display Properties window click the last tab name settings
3.Below you should be able to see Screen Resolution
4.Try to adjust the resolution here.

** Please try to reduce the resolution ...or sometime add more resolution
