Check that you have power (eg. Led indicator is on) to your Base station.
If you have power to the base station and you still do not have a dial tone, plug in a non-cordless handset to the phone socket and see if you have a dial tone on yor non-cordless handset, then you have a faulty base station.
Hope it helps and good luck! let me know how you go!
with your main base plugged in you should have lights on it, this means your getting power, now check if your phone wire is plugged into your base all the way. If you pick up your phone and hit the center button it should light up the phone and read connecting, then give a dial tone. if not i would try another phone in that same wall jack and try. If another phone works fine and all your connections are good try replacing phone cord to base and try it. If still no good check that phone in cradle is hs1. handset no. 1 and try. hope this works
Either they are not powered up, or the mother has lost power. Make sure the mother and children bases have power and leave the handsets in the bases long enough to charge.
I have no dial tone on my phones. I can receive calls and my answer machine works ok. I plugged another phone (an old phone) and I have a dial tone on that phone, but not on the new ones
Your handset is no longer communicating with your base. Depending on your model, the solutions can be a couple of different options. If I could view pdf files on this computer I would look it up for you. But here is the link to the manual on Unidens website- http://www.uniden.com/pdf/TRU8865-2om.pdf
Nonetheless, give this a try. Power down your base, and pull the battery out of your handset. Plug the battery back in the handset and set the bad handset in the base cradle, and then power up the base. Wait about 30 seconds, then give the phone a try. If it still does not work, then you need to try to "re-register" the bad handset back to the base. Look in the manual under "registration" procedures. Hope my help fixes it for you. Good Luck, CG
