I have the same problem. I called bravetti/europro and they told me that they don't support this model any more and don't have replacement parts either. What I do to use it is I use a knife as the blade on the lid and stick it in the slot and move the switch toward the back. This is eaiser when the blender is off of the unit. You can do the same thing to use the blender but switch is a little harder to push.
go to Europro.com and enter the model number in the parts wizard bar on the left of the screen it will take you to a page where you can download a PDF file version of the manual. the model # of the Bravetti Platinum Pro is BP101 H
I believe that Bravetti is made by Euro-Pro.
