Hello,

  • I would go with some good 8 gauge. More than that for this amp would be overkill and a waste. Many people thing thicker wire is better but that is not the case. To thick of wire to the power feed can draw to much power and send the amp into protect mode. Also to thick of wire with an insufficient amount of power can actual hamper the amps true abilities.
  • Use stranded copper wire not solid copper wire for the best results of conductivity.
  • Make sure to run a 50 amp fuse inline with the power wire right off the battery. Amps surge and it is far easier to replace a $1 fuse than components inside your amp.
  • Your ground is best served running to a bolt in the floorboard. Using the same size, style and quality as your power wire is recommended.
  • Your remote wire will connect to the remote wire running from the back of your deck. The remote wire enables your amp to shut off when your deck is shut off. A simple 16 gauge stranded copper wire will suffice for the remote wire.
  • I recommend hooking the speakers up using one speaker per channel. I don't bridge amps really. If you want more power then buy a bigger amp.
  • The AV cords will go from your deck to your amp right to right and left to left.
  • That's the way to wire your amp.

Regards, Tony

I need to know how to hook up my pyle pla4278 4 ch 2000watt bridgeable mosfet amplifier

Hi, I assume you are powering regular speakers in the car, right?
The amp needs a power cable from the fuse box or battery.
This cable should be about 6 gage and should have a fuse of about 150 amps.
You will need a ground cable, also 6 gage and connect it tightly to the chassis under the dash.
Disconnect all speaker wires from the head unit, and use a pair of RCA cables to connect the head unit preamp outputs to the amplifier.
Also from the head unit, connect the blue wire to the "turn on" terminal of the amplifier.
Finally, connect your speaker wires to the amplifier.
Your speakers should be rated for at least 500 Watts, or you will blow them with this amp.

Please let me know if you have questions and thanks for using FixYa.

I do not have the manual. I need wiring diagram how to connect to the power and speaker.

if you need a manual to hook up an amp, you probably shouldn't be doing it yourself.

Red LED "Protection Light is on" What is the problem

The red light means the amp is in protection mode. A few things can cause protection mode..... First disconnect the subs completely from the amp, and turn it on, if it powers up you have blown subs. Also try checking the main power wire at the battery...sometimes the current your meter is seeing is backfeeding from the remote wire, so your main power line could be blown at the fuse under the hood. hope this helps
